@Tactical-Ochoa Yeah it is slightly annoying that they used the series to sell more toys and merchandise over time. Although I find it funny that despite all the Omnitrix models. they never made an Albedo Omnitrix/Ultimatrix despitethat was one of the reasons that Albedo was such a popular character - because he was Ben but with a red colour scheme . I bet that everyone back in the day wanted a red Omnitrix.

I'll admit, two things which bug me about Omniverse are the fully controlled Alien X and the failsafe which basically makes Ben unbeatable by turning him into the ideal alien for the situation if his life is at peril. That for me sucked out the stakes of the story since Ben can turn into a literal god anytime he wants and just snap the conflict away. It makes any serious situation involving Ben less meaningful because we know that 99 times out of 100. he's going to survive. I'm not opposed to Celestialsapiens existing but giving Ben full control of the transformation was a huge mistake. As was the Omnitrix failsafe. I know that "But hey, Alien X" is practically a meme at this point but for the record Kuro does actually do a really good job in 5YL of explaining why Ben does everything he can not to use Alien X. As Ben gets older he understands more and more about Azmuth's true motivation behind creating the Omnitrix for greater understanding among different species rather than as a weapon. Ben knows that every alien in the watch matters and that he as the wielder of it should embody that principle. Of course he has his favourite aliens, but using Alien X for him would make the world that he protects not feel genuine (it's almost like using the cheat codes of a videogame), and he doesn't believe that he as a flawed human has the right to use the powers of a god shape reality to his choosing.

It's a fun way to think about this what if every Ben 10 show was it's own standalone universe. It would seem odd to have alien force and ultimate alien as standalone universes.

@Mortie-10 Nice choices. The Alliance was a particularly thought provoking episode of the original, with a main character actually suffering a serious injury (Grandpa Max) and the part where Ben leaves because he believes he’s endangering Gwen and Max by staying near them is a really weighty emotional moment. The stuff with Vilgax throughout the episode was cool too and helped in the build up to the finale. We both seem to share our favourite Alien Force episode lol , though it is a great one. The Ultimate Sacrifice is an episode which really shows Ben’s selflessness despite his apparent arrogance - as soon as he truly learns of the sentient aliens’ plight he is wholeheartedly decided to sacrifice himself for them despite Gwen having the power to wipe them out and be done with it, and that goodbye scene with Gwen was pretty emotional. The functionality of the Ultimatrix and the Sentient Ultimates did throw me off a bit hence why I don’t rate it higher, but the themes of the story were solid. Malgax Attacks was decent especially since it was centred around a fusion between two awesome villains and it’s good to see Ben learn how to work with Skurd after seeing him as nothing more than a pest. . I was never fond of the idea of Skurd even though he’s actually an entertaining character so that’s probably why I find this episode ok rather than great. Alien X tinction felt a bit fanservice-y for me but it was still a cool finale to the reboot and to see all the Bens Together was pretty awesome. They nerfed Alien X but that was probably necessary.

I saw a screenshot that someone posted saying that there's almost 19k tweets using the hashtag.

@coreofthesun I was thinking the same thing because I can't imagine everything that happened in UA and Omniverse could happen in one year. I haven't watched Omniverse since it ended but based on what I remember, I could see that show taking place over the course of a year in half bringing Ben close to the age of 18.

My theory is that this version of Max wasn't a Plumber himself, but someone who was familiar with the organisation. For me he's way too goofy and irresponsible (well at least compared with original Max) to actually be a Plumber. Still though, even if he only knew about them surely he would've tried to contact them when larger threats like Vilgax started to emerge in the reboot universe. Or at the least he could've told Ben and Gwen about them. Again, this detail seems more for fanservice than actual plot consistency.
