The first season will have 40 episodes

So at least according to this article, the Ben 10 reboot will have 40 episodes that are 11 minutes long each. Same number of episodes as the Powerpuff Girls reboot with the same episode runtime length.

40 episodes for the first season? Even for the 11 minute runtime for each episode, I find that to be too long for one season of the Ben 10 reboot. Already it feels like the reboot is overstating its welcome and presence with that many episodes for the first season.
Oh and also, the article states that the Ben 10 reboot will air this Fall of 2016 internationally (which we know of already) and then air in the Americas in Spring of 2017. Yeah well I'm not going to wait until Spring of 2017 to watch this show on television so this Fall I'm going to be using the Ben10Reboot.Rocks website (or any other streaming website) to check out the reboot instead.

Agreed. But huh, I'm surprised at the duration, but then again it was confirmed why they were heading that direction, because of kid motivation doesn't watch 22 minute episodes.
Cartoon Network's taking a weird direction, and that's actually why I've seen that stuff happened to DC's shows, I think its because Omniverse and Beware the Batman failed to give people a half hour episodes, and cause of that, there's not much that can be done with that, so unless its a special, we might just get 11 minute episodes for any cartoon until CN gets its head out of the gutter once they replace the schedule guy and that president. Actually now when I think about it, didn't the Powerpuff Girls get pulled this move too.
Reboot trying to be like the others, bringing a mixed of old and new cast, but also getting more hate then Teen Titans GO, but more hype as well. Not only that, but getting 40x11 minute episodes. Kinda interesting if you ask me... -
@Ebomnitrix Yeah I still find CN's reason for having 11 minute long episodes to be absolute bullshit. Kids don't mind the lengths of each episode as long as they remain engaged and interested in the show itself.
And yeah, the Powerpuff Girls reboot has that very thing as well. After all I did mention that at the top of my post. By the time this is posted, the PPG reboot had aired its 21st episode. It felt like it overstayed its welcome and presence after the 15th episode. Again, like I said, 40 episodes for the first season of the Ben 10 reboot just feels like too much there. Even with the 11 minute runtimes for each episode.
More hype? There was so little excitement and interest in the PPG reboot and the same is happening with the Ben 10 reboot. This has even less "hype" than Omniverse. I'm already noticing less hype, interest, and excitement for the Ben 10 reboot than what the PPG reboot had. Those that are excited and interested in the Ben 10 reboot are all being drowned out by the sheer dislike that everyone else has...and that's just Twitter and YouTube.

I can't really say its too much? It's mainly because its 20 episodes, basically the length of AF's last season and UA's first season. Besides it's not like its 32 full episodes, oh god.
I can't say its too much for now, especially since shows have 52 11 minute episodes currently. So we're getting the same amount of episodes as Regular Show.
BUT I HOPE, WE GET HALF HOUR SPECIALS! PLEASE! -
I thought it would only be 26 episodes like future seasons of Steven Universe. So everybody gets 36-52 episodes while SU gets less? But I'm still extremely excited to watch the reboot. And I think some episodes are going to be really loose remakes of the original series' episodes. One of the current soap operas in my country taught me that not all remakes are modernized copies of the original work. This soap opera remake changed names, roles, interactions, backstories and even villains.

@GoodVibes1999 You actually just pointed something out for me. 40 episodes? Not 26 or 52 episodes that Cartoon Network's other shows usually get? That seems a little strange. Seems pretty weird that Cartoon Network would pick that many episodes for both the PPG reboot and the Ben 10 reboot. Why all of a sudden Cartoon Network decided to go with 40 episodes for both the PPG reboot and the Ben 10 reboot when they usually give their other recent shows 26 or 52 episodes per season? Will that number change IF the PPG reboot and the Ben 10 reboot get another season? As far as I know, those are the only two and most recent shows that have 40 episodes for their first season. Thinking about it now, it just seems weird to me that Cartoon Network would decide on this instead of doing what they usually do.

@Omni-Triforcer Either that or they're going to do what they did with the PPG reboot and air multiple episodes within the first one or two weeks.
