The "Bad"

Paul Eding not voicing Max anymore, animation needs work. (hope they fix it in the official release)
-
The backround characters look really weird.
-
@Rexfan1333 Nope, this represents the final product. Therefore, that is what we are getting in regards to the animation quality.
-
@Rexfan1333 Judging by my small experience in watching cartoons, I'm more than sure the animation will get better as the series goes on.

@Rexfan1333 Yeah, the series should start airing this fall in Europe and CNs there are probably voicing the show now. I doubt there will be animation changes. We still don't know for sure yet, of course.

Some of the backgrounds looks to simple and not pretty
-
Diamondhead's powers looking more like ice powers. Whenever Ben used Diamondhead's crystals to make various different objects, they tend to look jagged and rough. Not smooth and well-shaped as in the reboot.
Gwen looks ugly. Her face looks too puffy or chubby. Ben looks ugly. Even Max looks pretty ugly.
Background characters look ugly and generic. Even Gwen looks generic compared to Cartoon Network's previous recent shows.
Stinkfly's redesign looks terrible. Same goes for Wildvine.
Overflow is just a redesigned Water Hazard so no he's not really a new alien.
The premise, which is exactly the same premise as the Original Series. That alone makes the reboot feel more like a remake than a reboot.
The comedy-oriented route that they are taking.
I mentioned before that the background images are pretty cheaply made and feel out of place.
The SDCC teaser containing no villain for Ben to fight, which would've been a more proper thing to show there instead of Ben basically making repairs to the amusement park. It was a terrible marketing decision for the Ben 10 reboot and it's the same mistake that Cartoon Network made when marketing the PPG reboot.
The editing and the way that the SDCC clip played out was pretty bad. The pacing felt rushed. There wasn't enough time to settle in that sense of urgency, shock, fear, and danger that the scene presented. Everything is happening a little too fast.
The 11 minute runtime for each episode. My previous point in regards to the editing and pacing of the SDCC teaser proves that Ben 10 and Man of Action are not suited and familiarized with the short episode lengths and that if this remains the case for the rest of the reboot, then the reboot is going to suffer from having those 11 minute long episodes.
-
I also previously mentioned Diamondhead's voice and now thinking about it some more, I'm reconsidering my stance on it. I don't really like Diamondhead's voice. It doesn't suit him. It doesn't make him sound intimidating enough unlike Jim Ward's Diamondhead voice.
-
Honestly... there's only a few things I don't like...
The background characters, cause What the hell!?
Ben's scream in the transformation.... don't that too much....
The transformation background.... YOU CALL THAT A TRANSFORMATION BACKGROUND!? WTH
As much as I hear people complaining about the red flash.... I was expecting that, cause they never used that after Alien Force, you know what was gonna happen there...
No Paul Eiding. That is the biggest complaint to the Reboot IMO.
I don't mind Diamondhead's voice honestly, cause at least it still matches his deeper one and it's still an improvement over Dee's. Plus I'm just saying everybody, that could just be Diamondhead tired, and we haven't fully heard his voice yet. But IMO I don't mind it, I love it.
All I gotta stay for the Reboot -
There was also a really good point that @cooljay7 made about the villains in the reboot as well. Having lots of new villains can actually lead to a negative affect for the reboot. If we're getting all these many new villains that will only make an appearance for one or two episodes each for them, it'll end up feeling more like bloated and less memorable filler for the reboot. Yeah there were a good number of villains that only made an appearance in one or two episodes in the Original Series but at the same time there were some villains that were more developed and had more of a significant impact on the series. For the reboot, it feels more as if there's going to be all these many new villains that will make an appearance just for the purpose of filler and just to have more content for the reboot overall. It doesn't help much either that if there are going to be any of the older villains that will make a return in the series, the 11 minute runtime for each episode isn't going to give them as much of a chance to develop as well as they did in the Original Series. The SDCC teaser clip felt more of like a filler scene and even that struggled significantly with the editing and pacing of it.
It feels as if they're being ing in a lot of new villains again just for the sake of quantity in the amount of content the show has. I'd rather have fewer villains that are more developed and thus are more memorable and significant to the series than many that are just there for the sake of filler and content quantity.
-
Oh and yeah, not having Paul Eiding as Max Tennyson still sucks. No matter what, there is nobody else that can do a better job with Max than Eiding.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Here's the thing, from what I've seen on Powerpuff Girls, I think they're just starting a plot. In a recent episode, some guy sent the blue blob gangsters, whose names I can't remember, to do some work for him. I think they're leading up to something with that, and if that's the case... Then we might just see something interesting after all.

I have one question is the ppg reboot worth watching? I loved the original but i have heard bad things about the reboot.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Well I, who watched the original, thinks the PPG reboot is good. But thats just me.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Nope. I only got to like the first 14 episodes before I stopped watching it. It's one of the worst cartoon shows out there and I consider it worst that TTG. Memes, slang, pop culture references, "Painbow" was like watching an acid trip, Ms. Bellum was removed because apparently she didn't give a good message to kids, showing that the team working on the PPG reboot have no idea what they're actually doing, and many more issues. One of the biggest problems is that the show is dealing with an identity crisis. At least Teen Titans Go! was well aware of what type of show it was. Not that much with the PPG reboot. Look up RebelTaxi's review on YouTube. He sums up the show very well.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa honestly, you seem to be pointing a lot of negatives that people will get use too really fast, will you just give the reboot a break here because they are not going to listen to us no matter what we want, this aimed toward kids.
-
@Rexfan1333 If you're saying that these are problems with the PPG reboot that people will get used to, then why is there still a lot of complaining and criticism towards it? These aren't issues that people have gotten used to. Many have just decided to forget about the show, something that should've also been done with Teen Titans Go! so that it wouldn't have got all the attention that it got and the same should go for the PPG reboot as well. People want those shows cancelled, don't give it any attention.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa those shows don't have their creators, MOA are back with this reboot, they had to make changes of course to keep kids interested, I'm sure they are going to add things for the older fans as well. That's just how television works now (not everyone is going to get what they want), but I have faith in the people working on this will do good things for this series.
-
They changed the way the omnitrix sounds when you activate it.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Yea thats true but actually that's done well, I have not seen negatives reactions on the new omnitrix sound but I just have to get used to it, I'm used to the Omniverse Omnitrix sound
