Ben 10 Reboot Discussion Part 1: Season 2

It's a bit of an improvement. There's continuity, more action compared to season 1, more meaningful moments between the Tennysons, and some tiny bit more drama: Ben starts doubting himself and realizing his powers can be dangerous, as well as that he knows nothing about the Omnitrix and that someone could turn all those cool powers into a weapon to hurt people. Also, some villains start targeting Ben directly instead of him "just being in their way", and some of the baddies are given more depth in comparison to season 1.
They've been building up the entire season to the finale where we got a new char! The finale explains the OEs btw -

They could've thought of a better name for Kevin's watch. But regarding Kevin's watch, I think it's actually a pretty cool idea -- I just wish it wasn't being wasted in this reboot.

Same level as Ultimatrix and Nemetrix to me, they're just basic alterations of the Omnitrix's name with a normal word (ultimate, nemesis, anti/antithesis)

@ungrateful-wolf Still don't find it to be a good name for Kevin's Omnitrix. It sounds generic and not creative. Not like Kevin even needs an Omnitrix in the first place.

@ungrateful-wolf I don't know. I just feel that the Antitrix sounds lame. Ultimatrix and Nemetrix sound a lot better.

@cooljay7 It is lame. I just posted this news onto the Ben 10 Reddit and those that have commented so far say that it's lame. There's a forum on Tv Tropes about the Ben 10 reboot and people on there say it's lame. Like I said, AntiTrix is a generic and uncreative name.

So far, things aren't looking promising for the whole kevin concept, but to be fair, we technically haven't even seen him in an episode yet. As bullshit as this is, we should at least wait until he appears in the show before we condemn this take on kevin.

Man, i'm in bargaining phase right now. I really do hope that he at least has something, ANYTHING going for him. Like...i kinda want to think he might have a different set of aliens, and hot shot is an exception, but honestly, this seems unlikely. They're just gonna give him ben's powers, and maybe throw in an 11th alien. This is very upsetting, but once again, i'll try to not make a final judgement until he actively debuts in an episode.

...and i agree with the above, the antitrix is a terrible name. i could come up with something better. even "Negasus" would sound better.

Uhhhhh, I mean, isn't that what he was supposed to be??? He always had Ben's powers when they were enemies, just most of the time, it was as a fusion mutation. At least now, the rivalry will be more blatant (like Albedo was meant to be)Sometimes, being alone is the right way to find someone else

@ungrateful-wolf he got ben's powers via his own, giving him what ben had, plus his own abilities. here, in the reboot, he just has the anti trix. it takes away the unique part of kevin, which is upsetting.
