When will the next Ben 10 be announced?

  • It's only been a little over a month since the Ben 10 reboot ended but I've been wondering how long we will have to wait until we learn what's next for Ben. Duncan Rouleau was answering questions on Twitter about whats next back in the fall but I haven't seen anythings since then. Personally, I don't know if we'll hear anything this year about what's next. I could see them not saying anything about Ben 10 until next years upfront. Another possibility I could see is if we get some sort of announcement at comic con later this year. When do you guys think the next series will be announced?

  • @cooljay7 They may still be deciding on which direction to take the franchise next (with the two most likely options being a reboot sequel or else returning to the original continuity with an Omniverse continuation) hence why they may not reveal it for a while. Perhaps they may reveal some details in July when it comes to Comic Con but it may take until 2022 for them to start releasing any kind of promo material.

Personally I'm not bothered if we have to wait for a while and would rather they take their time to create a good series (whatever that may be) rather than rushing it.

@cooljay7 It could be but it only remains to wait for a new announcement.

@LaciDarkBlueUni Hopefully we'll get that soon but I'd personally be fine if they don't rush a new show - quality over quantity and all that.

@cooljay7 said in Now that the Ben 10 Reboot is over what's next?: https://twitter.com/DCNetwork23/status/1381750728323125248 Why can't we get #BringBackActionBen trending to show Cartoon Network and Man of Action that we want the next series to return to the original continuity? Apparently #RestoreTheOmniverse is already trending in some countries. Unfortunately, I don't have a twitter, otherwise I'd retweet the hashtag. I saw a screenshot that someone posted saying that there's almost 19k tweets using the hashtag.

@Ben-10-Fan I still think they can turn it around and improve the reboot, I'm still not sure that the Gwen spin off is even being made, but I hope so. It might help the franchise.

So according to this link by MoviePilot.com that lists 10 facts about Ben 10, Joel Silver might not be involved with the Ben 10 live action movie anymore. What we already know is that in 2011, Joel Silver was called in to produce the Ben 10 movie under Warners Bros and Dark Castle Entertainment while in 2012 it was reported that Albert Torres was writing the script. This we already know. What I think we don't know was that Joel Silvers left Warners Bros in 2013 and now works at Universal Studios. Ryan Engle was also brought in to continue working on Torres' script, which I believe means that Torres is no longer working on the Ben 10 movie. MoviePilot states that the Ben 10 movie might be made by either Warners Bros or Universal Studios but I doubt that Universal Studios is going to be working on Ben 10 simply because Ben 10 is owned by Cartoon Network, who is owned by Time Warner and Turner Broadcasting, who also owns Warners Bros and Dark Castle Entertainment. Universal Studios is owned by Comcast and NBCUniversal and not Time Warner and Turner Broadcasting. Cartoon Network is not going to hand this movie to Universal Studios but instead they would hand it to Warners Bros because of this. Therefore, Joel Silver is not involved with the Ben 10 live action movie. Whether or not anyone here knows about this already, I'm posting this here anyways for those who don't know about this. http://moviepilot.com/posts/3900108 Joel Silvers leaves Warners Bros: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/warner-bros-joel-silver-317552 http://news.doddleme.com/news-room/warner-bros-joel-silver-part-ways-after-25-years/ http://flickdirect.com/news/3854/joel-silver-producer-of-the-matrix-leaves-warner-bros/article.ashx Ryan Engle working on the Ben 10 Movie: http://www.slashfilm.com/live-action-ben-10-adaptation-adds-black-list-screenwriter-ryan-engle/
