Diamondhead Reboot Design Leaked (and more)

CANNONBOLT AND FOUR ARMS' DESIGNS ARE OUT! CLICK HERE TO SEE THE UPDATE!
The Instagram user ally_chaoyu recently uploaded a picture of a Cartoon Network 2016 calendar. On its cover, we can see many characters from CN shows and Ben is there, along with himself as Diamondhead. We finally got a new pose of Ben with the rebooted design and an alien's new look. Diamondhead looks oddly different than the designs we've seen. Ben's clothes in the reboot have no yellow color but Diamondhead's outfit has it. The Omnitrix symbol on his chest appears to be white like it was in the original series.
-
I like both Ben and Diamondhead's design! Ben reminds me of one of Dipper and Mabel's many prototype designs and I'm somewhat annoyed by the fact the Omnitrix symbol is black and white again. And I just realized that piece of background (except Uncle Grandpa's weird van) probably comes from the reboot too.

Diamondhead's design isn't that bad but could use some improvements. The gold or yellow coloring on his clothes doesn't make sense though. Something just spells Omniverse with his design though. It's not good enough in my opinion but I guess it's acceptable enough.
Ben's design, however, is just bad. It looks like the quality of his design went down a little since his first appearance during the announcements of the reboot. I'm guessing this is because of the calendar cover but it still looks bad. Well, at least the Omnitrix looks a little better now.
I hope that piece of background that GoodVibes1999 mentioned isn't from the Ben 10 reboot because, by Ben 10 standards, that looks terrible. Compared to the background images of the Original Series, that just looks so bad. Omniverse had better backgrounds than this. It doesn't even match the artwork of Ben and Diamondhead. I doubt the background image on this calendar is from the reboot. It's probably there just for the purpose of being the background image for the calendar cover only.
Well, there's my opinion.

@admin Is there maybe some way that we could contact the Instagram user and ask her to see if the calendar that she has contains anything else about the Ben 10 reboot other than what we see right now? Just curious. If not, then this should be fine enough.
-
Oh, here is another plus that I didn't notice before. At the very least, the reboot Ben no longer looks like he's 5-years-old and does look more like he's legitimately 10-years-old.
-
Thats very true ochoa he does look 10 thank god. Its kinda wierd because classic ben always looked older then 10 to me maybe 13 or 12 but not 10 but maybe thats because i was about 7 when the show started
-
@Omni-Triforcer Yeah, it was the same with me when I was little. I thought Ben and Gwen looked older than their intended age. Now today, yeah, I'd say they look like they're actually 10 in the Original Series. While the reboot Ben does look like he is actually 10 again and the Omnitrix does look a little better plus Diamondhead's design isn't that bad, the image overall is just not good enough and since that there's that saying, "A picture's worth a thousand words," I don't think this is going to help the reboot that much.
-
Actually, after thinking some more about it, I think I'm going to take that comment about reboot Ben looking like he's 10 back somewhat. There's still some aspects about him that makes Ben look more like he's 5-years-old than 10-years-old. It's mostly the face for me, though. The way that they designed Ben's face just makes him look younger than his actual age. The reboot Ben's clothes also factor in a bit for me. Mostly the shorts that he wears but it could be because I was just so used to seeing Ben wear pants most of the time. I can see why though. Ben looks better in pants than shorts. Other than that, it's mostly the way that his face is designed as a whole that made me take back my thoughts on the reboot Ben on my previous comment.
Even the Ben 10 fan fiction writer that I've been speaking to sees this aspect about the reboot Ben as well.

Wow. I actually just notice this. The word "calendar" is misspelled as "calender." Could just be a mistake though. Just something a little funny that I wanted to point out.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa are you saying you like the redesign?
-
@chronosapien234 Have you not read my comments. I said that Diamondhead's design isn't that bad but needs improvements. As for Ben, he looks terrible. Overall, It's not that good and doesn't give me much faith in the reboot. Kind of further decreases my faith really.
-
Never judge a reboot by it's design
-
@chronosapien234 Really? Did you suddenly forget about my topic page that discusses my arguments and criticisms on the Ben 10 reboot? Where I analyze every single side, corner, and angle that there currently is on the reboot? Where I base my opinions and predictions on how the reboot would turn out on that very analysis? Have you forgot about that topic page? My thoughts on the designs of Ben and Diamondhead for the reboot are just part of my overall arguments and opinions on the reboot as a whole.and how it will turn out as.

Wait a minute. I just noticed this. The reboot Doamondhead has a horn on his head. What the hell?
-
I'm hoping this is just a visual mistake that I made based off of the angle of Diamondhead in the image.

Me too.

@admin Yeah. I mean like it could be that the artist that made this calendar cover made a mistake on Diamondhead's design. I mean like hell, they got the word "calendar" spelled wrong. Hopefully, that's very much the case.
What made me think that Diamondhead has a spike on the top of his head was that freakin angle of his face. I am aware of the spike that he has on the back of his head but usually it's only visible from the front if Diamondhead's face is either at a downward angle or turned towards the side. If at a downward angle, the top of Diamondhead's head would be visible as well. Here on this calendar cover, Diamondhead's face is more of at an upwards angle and looking directly towards the people that would be looking at the calendar. You can't even see the top of his head so when I saw that spike, it looked like it was right on top of his head. Again, hopefully it's just a mistake that was made on Diamondhead's design.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing that its just the angle that we see diamondhead since his head is sorta tilted down a little but so we could see the spike on the back of his head
