Look even if Ben 10 reboot had a animation style , voice actors and/or tone same as any of the previous ben 10 series and it is a action show not comedy then I would still hate just becuase it is a reboot.

@npzman That's quite an arrogant and ignorant thing to say. If the Ben 10 reboot was actually legitimately a good show with great quality, I wouldn't mind if it was a reboot. Hell, even then, I don't even criticize it just on the basis of it being a reboot. I criticize rebooted shows based on how they're made and how well their implementation and execution was and you should do the same as well. Not hate and criticize a show just because it's a reboot. The problem with the Ben 10 reboot isn't that it's a reboot. The problem with the Ben 10 reboot was the direction that Cartoon Network took and its execution on its story, setting, characters, action, comedy, etc once it was released. I prefer a reboot of Ben 10. Just not in the very way that Cartoon Network went.

  • @Tactical-Ochoa well then that means I wasted my time watching all episodes of the Orignal series , AF , UA and omiverse since I will not see what Ben does next.

Think of as you were watching your 10 year old son grow up all the way until he is 16 then suddenly your son gets taken away then gets replaced with another 10 year old.

@npzman That's quite another arrogant and ignorant thing to say. Also, that's a terrible analogy that doesn't make sense for what you intended it for.

  • Bottom line is : There is no such thing as a good reboot.

  • Bottom line is : There is no such thing as a good reboot.

@npzman Sure...except for Doom 2016, Tomb Raider, Star Trek 2009, Dredd 3D, James Bond: Casino Royale, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Mortal Kombat 2011, Resident Evil 7 (yes, it's a sequel but it's also considered a soft reboot due to the drastic changes that it went through compared to other recent Resident Evil games), Batman Begins, and many more examples that you can easily and quickly look up online through a simple Google search, thus easily refuting your very claim and making you look like an idiot.

But yeah, sure, there's no such thing as a good reboot. Seriously though, you need to shut up about this topic for your sake because the real bottom line here is that you don't know what the hell you're talking about. There is such a thing as a good reboot. Just look at the examples that I provided. You are in the wrong and you need to stop and rethink your views on topics like this.

Like I said, the problem isn't that the Ben 10 reboot is a reboot. The problem was how it was made and executed.

@npzman WHAT THE---!?! Have you ever seen TMNT 2003 and TMNT 2012? Those are some of the best reboots out there.

@Mortie-10 And there's another of the many prominent examples of a good reboot.

  • okay I understand, but the Ben 10 Reboot is ruining my childhood

  • okay I understand, but the Ben 10 Reboot is ruining my childhood

@npzman You already had your childhood so no, this reboot isn't ruining your childhood.

  • Well then it's ruining my younger sibling's childhood that is what they said to me.

Also how would you know my age ?

@npzman Good point. You didn't provide your age so I don't know for sure how old you really are. Granted, if you're really a child or a teenager and if one show is ruining your childhood, you're not doing a lot with your life. If you don't like the Ben 10 reboot, shift your interests towards other things that you do and/or will like.

For those wondering why I want to know this stuff, it's because of this suggestion I made about listing TV Networks that aired a Ben 10 show around the world for the Ben 10 wiki. Today a wiki admin has just highlighted the blog post and it will be up for voting for 7 days. https://ben10.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Npzman1/List_of_TV_stations_that_aired_Ben_10_around_the_world If you have held a fandom.com account for 7 days, made 15 big wiki edits, and made 5 small wiki edits within the last two months for the Ben 10 Wiki. Then hop over to that link above and vote to support this proposal of mine. Let's get this done.

People shouldn't judge you if you watch cartoons, anime or whatever, yeah we all know Ben 10 is created for kids, but can be for adults who love animation, action and comics, love what you love.

@cooljay7 said in State of Cartoon Network: @coreofthesun Yeah every current CN show looks the same. @cooljay7 I think that this video by the Roundtable does a pretty solid job at talking about the lack of diversity of artstyles in animated shows. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XclDdSrcU4U Especially with Cartoon Network. What I find interesting is that the Ben 10 reboot was actually meant to have a more anime inspired art style before executives told them to tone it down and simplify it. Which is honestly kinda sad. Overall it is concerning that the art styles from over 10 years ago look better and more varied than the artstyle's today which look very same-y.
