  • @JrPhilgene After hearing you, it really makes me wish for a anime Ben 10 series (not like Yokai Watch, but like a drama, action, comedy, superhero series like My Hero Academia style)

@Rexfan1333 I love My Hero Academia can't wait for season two and I certainly would not be mad if they made Ben10 like that

  • @Rexfan1333 I love My Hero Academia can't wait for season two and I certainly would not be mad if they made Ben10 like that

@JrPhilgene yeah, I really need to catch up on the anime, I wonder if anyone would ask Man of Action about how they feel about Ben 10 going anime.

  • @JrPhilgene yeah, I really need to catch up on the anime, I wonder if anyone would ask Man of Action about how they feel about Ben 10 going anime.

@Rexfan1333 I don't think that they would be against the idea

  • @JrPhilgene yeah, I really need to catch up on the anime, I wonder if anyone would ask Man of Action about how they feel about Ben 10 going anime.

@Rexfan1333 cuz most people watch anime instead of cartoons anyway so I think that they would actually bring in more fans of they made an anime like Ben10 series

  • @Rexfan1333 cuz most people watch anime instead of cartoons anyway so I think that they would actually bring in more fans of they made an anime like Ben10 series

@JrPhilgene Yeah, they worked with anime companies before with Monsuno, Ben 10 deserves that treatment as well if they want to attract a larger fan base.

@Rexfan1333 I don't hate the reboot like most people but I feel like if they change the voice actors for some of the aliens bring back the 22min run time and make it a bit more serious it would be 100x better or they could just remake the reboot entirely

@JrPhilgene Yeah, I don't hate it either, I'm a open minded person that will give something a chance, and I like the reboot, it's fun and has some pretty cool moments (hope they do more), but it does have a lot of flaws that need fixing and I'm hoping MOA will do so. I just don't want another reboot after reboot where they don't know what the heck they are doing.

@Rexfan1333 I think one of the biggest problems with the reboot is the whole comedy aspect of it cuz ManOfAction are used to writing more serious shows so I think that since they made it a bit more "child friendly" they're having a hard time writing for it because it doesn't really seem like they're losing their touch its more like they're getting accustomed to writing for a younger audience

@JrPhilgene Yeah, I think they are trying too hard to get the kids attention, that's what happened to Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble. They need to start writing again like Generator Rex before the filler episodes.

  • One other thing that I want to mention, and almost forgot to, is that a YouTuber from Ecuador known as frio10mil found my Ben 10 reboot episode reviews on Deviant-art and asked for permission to share my reviews on his channel. I said yes and he said that he's going to start working on the video next week.

  • RebelTaxi's 63rd podcast was uploaded today. At the 1:15:00 mark (they have the list of topics that they discussed in the description section of the video) is where they talk about and criticize the Ben 10 reboot.

  • I was watching that 4 hours ago
I think we speak for everybody saying that the biggest screw up was no Paul Eiding.
Gwen we all know is replaceable, but Max... is just... that's where you screw up...

@Ebomnitrix Noooooo. The biggest screw up is going for this reboot in the first place and making it the way that it is right now while putting in little to no effort into it while also having little to no care and respect for the franchise, the fans, the new generation, etc. That is the biggest screw up here.

As for Gwen, no. Much like with Max, she's not replaceable either. Like with Paul Eiding portraying Max, no one has done a much better job with Gwen than Meagan Smith. Much like with Tara Strong to Ben and Paul Eiding to Max, Meagan Smith helped define Gwen as a character. She made Gwen stand out the most. She gave the best performance for Gwen. She helped make Gwen an iconic character. If they really cared for and respected the Ben 10 series, not only would Paul Eiding be voicing Max right now but there would've been a good chance that they would've brought back Meagan Smith as well instead of having Montserrat Hernandez portray her. Hernandez is ok but she has done nothing to define Gwen and make her stand out in a good way. Instead, Hernandez has contributed to making Gwen at her most unlikable state and helped portray Gwen at her worst. If I was in charge of the voicing department, I wouldn't even give Hernandez a chance and would immediately focus on getting Meagan Smith back on board. I would be fine with Hernandez voicing a different character but I wouldn't let her touch Gwen.

@Tactical-Ochoa I honestly didn't like Meagen Smith all that much, her voice got quite annoying after a while and I wasn't big with Ashley Johnson either, I prefer Tara Strong voicing her to be honest, I loved her take as adult Gwen and I'm sure she can pull off a young and teenage Gwen. To bad we will not see that happen though, instead of her playing Ben probably forever with nothing new.

  • I have no problem with the new voices, it gives the series a fresh feel. I kinda want new voices for Ben and Gwen here in Brazil since Charles Emmanuel and Ana Lúcia Menezes have been voicing them since the original series. Charles is an amazing VA but sadly his voice doesn't fit young Ben anymore and Ana Lúcia is very good as well but she never bothered to make young Gwen sound like a child in first place. But going back to the voices from the original version, I have absolutely nothing against David, Montserrat and the other new VAs.

After some thinking, I realized something that I forgot to mention. On its own and when compared to the Original Series episode, Last Laugh (considering that both episodes use the same story premise in regards to Ben dealing with his own fears), The Clocktopus is still not a good episode. It still suffers from poor writing and I mentioned other aspects of this episode that also holds it back. However, when compared to other episodes of the Ben 10 reboot show, it is a better episode. Despite the problems that I have with Steam Smythe, I still like the theme of his character and he is at least a better villain than the other villains that were showcased in the reboot. He's just an annoying villain much like with the Weatherheads and, at least to me, the writers just exaggerated a little too much to him or something of the likes. Like I said, there was some potential with this villain. Like I also said before, at least Ben's fear of squids does give him some struggle with fighting Steam Smythe and thus helps to make the conflict a little more challenging. So yeah, even though I find that the episode still had some really poor writing and the episode itself is still not good, it is better than the other episodes of the Ben 10 reboot. However, considering the quality of the other episodes of the Ben 10 reboot, that's not saying much. At best this episode is just average.

@Ebomnitrix And there's your episodes folks. I'm going to make a part 3 to Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot. Part 2 is already going on for long enough now and I plan on having part 3 be made specifically to discuss and comment on the episodes of the Ben 10 reboot.
