Ben 10 #RestoreTheOmniverse hashtag tweet day tomorrow
-
@cooljay7 He mentioned UniversoBen10BR. He is in close contact with them
-
@Mortie-10 I think @admin mentioned earlier on another thread that Ben 10 club reached out to him. Is Ben 10 club participating as well?
-
@cooljay7 He mentioned that Ben 10 club didnt respond back yet
-
@Mortie-10 Also, D.C. Network wanna point out this is not his idea. Its someone on UniversoBen10BR's idea.
-
I'm planning on making a new page where I cover my own thoughts on this matter of returning to the original continuity.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Are you against it?
-
@cooljay7 No. More like if Ben 10 does return to the original continuity, this is how I think it should be approached.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Oh ok. Are you going to participate tomorrow?
-
@cooljay7 Maybe. I think that depends on when I get that page finished.
-
Almost time for hashtagging. Get ready those who want to participate.
-
@Mortie-10 Wow, I didnt suspect that so many was going to participate. Twitter is full of #RestoreTheOmniverse hashtags right now. This is awesome!
-
@Mortie-10 Wow, that's pretty cool! Unfortunately, I don't have a twitter. Otherwise I would have participated. Is the hashtag trending?
-
@cooljay7 Must be! Twitter is overloaded with #RestoreTheOmniverse hashtags. The site lags right now and it almost crashes sometimes.
-
Here's my contribution to the #RestoreTheOmniverse hashtag that's trending today.

So how did everything go for today? Seems like that hashtag is getting used pretty often.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I dont know. My Twitter statistics only show trending things in Norway, not the US.
-
I think that it is a bit too soon and a bit too much though. I can't imagine what the writers, artists and everyone else who worked on the reboot will be feeling, seeing #RestoreTheOmniverse pop up all over Twitter one day after the end of the reboot. These are actual people working on the show who have actual feelings. Regardless of whether you liked the reboot or not, there are people who put their heart and soul into making the show to the best of their ability so far as the Network permits, and the first thing that people do is start booing it and calling for the original continuity again. I mean jeez, DJW is being harassed on Twitter by fans despite not even working on Ben 10 anymore! I can't imagine how deprecating it is to be in that position.
I'm not calling you out Mortie, but I'm calling out the fans who think that it is ok to actively harass the creators over an animated series. Yes, constructive criticism and rational discussion with evidence is acceptable and if that leads to a better show being made eventually, that's fine. The #RestoreTheOmiverse movement isn't the problem, the problem is certain parts of the fandom taking it upon themselves to be d***heads to the creators just because they're triggered that their favourite childhood show isn't to their liking anymore, and that too literally right after the reboot has ended.
I as much as anyone would love to see a brilliant Ben 10 series made eventually on HBO or whatever, but the fanbase shouldn't behave so immaturely to have one made (no wonder Ben 10 fans get such a bad name).
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I saw a lot of people tweeting about it. It seemed like most of the tweets were coming from Brazil.
-
@coreofthesun I think it's fine to use the hashtag as long as people are being respectful using it. Unfortunately, some people are spamming it which is not ok in my opinion.
-
@cooljay7 I have no problems with people using the hashtag respectfully while tweeting as you said (even though I think that we should've waited for a while after the end of the reboot to start using it) - it's just that certain people are using it to be horrible to the people who work on Ben 10 and spamming it.
