I found this video to be very interesting and honestly agree with it. The way Alien X-Tinction was handled doesn't make sense in regard to Ben Prime given that we see 4 versions of Ben Prime on screen at the same time.

I wish I could punch Kuro in the face right now! OF COURSE IT WAS BEN PRIME IN THE SPECIAL! All four of them was Ben Prime, just from different periods in time. Kuro is just a stupid guy who thinks he is the god of Ben 10 for whatever reason. I honestly hate him, and Im tired of everyone adoring him.

They repeatedly said that the characters are not from the future, but are from alternate realities. I don't want to speculate, but Cartoon Network's business interest may be extending the original series from now on. The reboot confirms that direction, bringing back the 10yo Ben.
Disney Plus are extending the SW universe and HBO Max would be a perfect match for Ben 10.
Using all the Prime Bens may be a hint of retconning the canonicity of AF, UA and Omniverse, so new seasons of the OS would start clear.
A very strange and not-that-probable theory, but still.

@admin That is...a really interesting theory actually, and if it were true then the writers would actually have another shot at writing a sequel to the 2006 Original Series which would be pretty interesting given that they would've learned from their prior continuity mistakes with the sequels.
The only thing is that UAF and OV are still very popular shows so if that was a reality then I imagine that there would be a LOT of backlash from fans of the other three shows. Though personally I believe that it could work, if TMNT could do it why can't Ben 10? AF, UA and OV would still exist and be available to watch, but just in a different timeline.

You know, I don't think the UAFOV direction was ever considered originally by MOA. Their direction was seen in the Ben 10,000 episode - Ben becoming an intergalactic Earth-based hero, Gwen not being an Anodite, Kevin being insane. I've always dreamed of seeing another 4 seasons of the OS, done entirely by MOA.
There will be a backlash, but there was backlash after revealing any of the series. We're going to watch it anyway.
In the era of streaming services, the opportunities are huge. HBO Max doesn't depend on toy sales.

@admin I hope that was the intention if Cartoon Network were to keep Man of Action around and let them make a sequel to the Original Series. And yeah, I do recall that there was always backlash in the Ben 10 franchise. I don't remember if there was backlash with the Original Series but I do recall that there were plenty of complaints about Alien Force and Ultimate Alien followed up by people complaining about Omniverse and then the reboot show. If Ben 10 does end up on HBO Max, I'm hoping that it doesn't rely on toy sales. I'm also hoping that whatever comes next for Ben 10, it gets treated with the respect that Ben 10 deserves.

@admin Yeah upon rewatch, Alien Force seems to be more Dwayne's take on the series rather than a proper sequel, and the writing and concepts in it reflect that. It feels to me how the MCU feels compared to the comics - a good story in its own right with the same characters and basic elements but fundamentally different.
MOAs inital sequel to the original was meant to be called Hero Generation iirc and meant to focus around Ben and Gwen training up a new generation of heroes (that's what I remember, if anyone else knows more please correct me). I was sceptical at first when I heard of this but I think that it would've worked especially with MOA at the helm. I don't know why they never made it though...or why they weren't involved with the franchise for any of the sequels, only coming back for the reboot. As you said with HBO Max as a platform there is now an opportunity to make the true sequel to the original series without the continuity errors. Doesn't necessarily have to be Hero Generation but as long as it is a good story in line with the original's continuity and lore, and showing Ben's transition to his future self (not necessarily the exact Ben 10k that we see in the original given that in meeting his future self, Ben probably grows up to be slightly different).

@coreofthesun From what I recall, there were creative differences between Man of Action and Cartoon Network in regards to making a sequel to the Original Series. Cartoon Network eventually decided to have a different team take over the project.

I'd personally be very disappointed if they decide to throw the sequel series to the side. I personally like all of them. My favorite is UA/AF but I still think Omniverse was a good show. I loved the fact that Ben had access to all of his aliens. It kind of showed his growth from all of the prior series.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this happens again. From what we know, Man of Action isn't happy with Cartoon Network's vision of the franchise based on comments from Duncan Rouleau. I wouldn't be surprised if CN ends up decided to have another team takeover Ben 10. Personally, I wouldn't be opposed to this. I prefer a more story driven series of Ben 10 and think that the next step for the franchise is a Ben in his 20s that will eventually lead into Ben becoming Ben 10k. I feel like for a show like that, it needs to be story driven, with a serious tone and serious threat.

@cooljay7 Personally I don’t mind which direction we go so long as the new show is made to be an engaging series first and foremost. In the event of a 2nd OS sequel the later installements wouldn’t be thrown to the wayside, since the new series would be a different continuity. All of them would still exist and be watchable.
As for the structure of whatever new series we get, it should be ideally story driven (though the odd filler episode is fine as long as it is good). I don’t think that the series should be super mature and gritty all the time but it should definitely have proper stakes, something that for the most part was lacking in the reboot and even in Omniverse for a lot of the time. And character development - we need to see Ben and the supporting cast grow as people and mature but still maintain their distinct and unique personalities to make them feel like people.
Though I think that a series with Ben in his 20s is the most logical thing to happen but I’m not sure whether the creators want to go back to that, hence why I thought that they may do a new sequel.

@coreofthesun I don't know if you guys have seen this video by D.C. Network (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X7bb8luLgo) but I think this is the best case scenario if they decided to make a sequel to the original series. A show like this would fill in the gaps of the current storyline and would also make fans happy who want a continuation to the OS.

Crazy theory, but what if Cartoon Network starts listening to us fans if their are enough of us? It would have been wicked cool if the fans got to decide what happens in the future of the franchise!

@Mortie-10 I think it's possible they do if there is enough fan involvement. If it happened with Star Wars The Clone Wars, why can't it happen with Ben 10.

What would be the best way to do it without pushing creators away from the Ben 10 fandom. They are getting annoyed with the #restoretheomniverse hashtag.

@npzman I've seen people say that they are getting annoyed but haven't seen anyone involved with Ben 10 say that. I think it's fine to tweet out #RestoreTheOmniverse as long as it's being done in a respectful manner.
