@Tactical-Ochoa should give this a read.

  • @Tactical-Ochoa should give this a read.

@andrew42 I did and no, that's not how I'm like.

  • Scared Silly will be aired at a Halloween Special on October 27, ending Alien of the Week on September 29 until further announcements.

  • New season begins tomorrow for the UK at 4pm. Are you ready?

  • i'm gonna be honest. This looks pretty promising. It kinda feels a bit like the old episodes from the original. Wish we could get a better understanding of how omni enhance worked though. It felt strange to see ben go for grey matter, but then again, we don't have context.

  • @Andrew42 By the clip, it seems Ben is trying to be responsible so Grandpa Max will allow him to have a pet (the Cadobbit - which he is hiding), so Ben thinks it's best to use a smart alien instead of brute force to show he's responsible and mature.

I would also like the know more about the Omni-Enhance. I have a feeling it's connected to Ben's 11th alien.

@james From what I can tell here with this clip along with everything else that we know about season 2, it's like what I said before. This look like it's just going to be more of the same as what we got in season 1.

@Andrew42 How does this even feel like what we got from the original show?

I don't think the 11 minute episode format is working well for Ben 10. The sudden Omni-Enhance alien just doesn't appear out of nowhere without explanation.

  • Can't wait to see more new Ben 10 reboot episode c;ips "Out To Launch" and " Can I Keep Him?" when they aired this week. Keep 'em coming LOL

@tactical-ochoa He feels like a 10 year old. The way he approaches things. How he acts and talks. Since you're an adult critic, you've probably overlooked that detail. Ben's personality really doesn't feel out of place to me. He hides the Cadobbit under a BLANKET. I used to do that all the time when i was hiding things from my family. Point is, he's just a kid who found a watch that turns him into aliens. Not a mature adult.

  • @ultraalien I think this clip is from episode 2, "Can I Keep It". The first episode is actually "Out to Launch", perhaps they'll explain the Omni-Enhance there (I hope they do, otherwise I agree, it will be too random and sudden)

  • I had a friend who watched it in the UK.
He said Episode 1 does explain and that when Vilgax comes back, he does have a bit of a lava scar on his face. Apparently Ben does the Omni-Enhancement by accident when he's Diamondhead, he didn't know how he triggered it but yeah.
Aliens: XLR8, Grey Matter (sequence), Diamondhead (sequence, Enhanced)

Episode 2 is just another Dr. Animo episode but with Ben wanting to keep a Catdobbit (Cat+Dog+Rabbit) as a pet (before finding out it's Animo's), but Ben has pet allergies in this series.
Aliens: Four Arms, Heatblast, Wildvine (x2), Diamondhead, XLR8, Grey Matter (sequence, Enhanced)

Also apparently Dr. Animo has been a big part of being a main villain in this series, as this episode will further go into detail with it, especially since later this week there's a team up.

@ebomnitrix Intriguing. Is your friend a reliable source?

  • He literally watched it on TV, and lives in the UK, and I was just talking to him in a Discord server. The information is also now on the Ben 10 Wikia so....

@ebomnitrix Does your friend know anything about the 11th alien that was teased in the end of Season 1? I think it may be connected to the Omni-Enhance

  • The reboot episodes sound promising. Especially Animomorphosis. I've always wanted to see vilgax and Dr. Animo team up. Plus, who knows what animo could do with alien dna. And if they're meddling with the omnitrix, ben could accidentally turn into the new alien or something.

  • So Alien 11 didn't show up.
Gwen and Max however don't see the Omni-Enhancement until the Grey Matter clip which is Episode 2, Ben's first time using it was accidentally as Diamondhead when he fought Vilgax. They also didn't establish the Omni-Enhancement to them, so it leads to tomorrow if they're going to ask about it or not.

There are some issues people aren't realizing though, most people want to watch shows online, not just for free and to avoid ads, but to just watch everything faster and avoid all the crappy shows the network has to offer. Cartoon Network barely makes a million views now because they're focusing on a streaming service that nobody is going to use. Boomerang will be a shock if there is enough people touching it but overall CN is going to screw themselves over if they focus more on the business and not the channel itself, which they haven't been doing since 2015. They maybe thinking TTG is going to lead them to success but they're wrong if they think only airing a handful of all the shows you're making right now is going to do anything, if you have 20 shows and only air 5 and a movie we've already seen a million times, its not going to do enough for the network to last much longer, take a look at what happened to Nickelodeon, they've been losing money to the point where they lost the amusement park, and I doubt anybody really watches the award shows anymore. And another thing to mention, the only way to get ratings is a Nielsen box or to have Xfinity, they won't count the ratings any other cable providers offers so the ratings wouldn't do much since it only goes to those people. Now for what reason I don't know, but since a lot less people either don't have those boxes and prefer watching shows online, even on properties like KissCartoon/KissAsian, WatchCartoonsOnline, Animeflavor, Gogoanime, you name it, and its a long list.

After some thinking, I realized something that I forgot to mention. On its own and when compared to the Original Series episode, Last Laugh (considering that both episodes use the same story premise in regards to Ben dealing with his own fears), The Clocktopus is still not a good episode. It still suffers from poor writing and I mentioned other aspects of this episode that also holds it back. However, when compared to other episodes of the Ben 10 reboot show, it is a better episode. Despite the problems that I have with Steam Smythe, I still like the theme of his character and he is at least a better villain than the other villains that were showcased in the reboot. He's just an annoying villain much like with the Weatherheads and, at least to me, the writers just exaggerated a little too much to him or something of the likes. Like I said, there was some potential with this villain. Like I also said before, at least Ben's fear of squids does give him some struggle with fighting Steam Smythe and thus helps to make the conflict a little more challenging. So yeah, even though I find that the episode still had some really poor writing and the episode itself is still not good, it is better than the other episodes of the Ben 10 reboot. However, considering the quality of the other episodes of the Ben 10 reboot, that's not saying much. At best this episode is just average.
