RE: Why Gwevin failed (or Why Bwen is still so popular)

RE: State of Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network really needs to look at the library they had for their reruns. They have shows made in the mid 2000s that was made for HD.

RE: Why Gwevin failed (or Why Bwen is still so popular)
The problem is that Gwen was changed to cousin at the last minute. The romantic chemistry that Ben and Gwen could/would had were leftovers from the pre-production of the original series. Gwen was originally intended to be a classmate of Ben.

RE: State of Cartoon Network
@ebomnitrix said in State of Cartoon Network:
OK KO will probably get the same treatment too later on, I mean every time CN airs a new show, it airs all over the place alongside Gumball and TTG.
So if Ben 10 disappears from the network, it'll be why like every other show has, and once CN gets "its newest show" so will OK KO. Just common CN knowledge at this point.
If it isn't TTG, Gumball or even We Bare Bears, or 10 year old movies, they won't air it.How is any show and any network is supposed to have any long term success with such practice on a broadcast network.

@jondennison72 Wikipedia is not always a reliable source especially without references.

You misunderstood 22 minute episodes are actually broken apart into two 11 minute episodes.(https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/ben10/images/e/e1/Total_Episodes_for_Reboot_September_2019.png)

@cooljay7 With cartoon network being under Warner Brothers all of their animated shows can get proper treatment than it had under turner broadcasting.

RE: Ben 10 Reboot Discussion Part 1: Season 2
@tactical-ochoa I don't think you can do sophisticated writing with a show based on 11 minutes since the current Ben 10 Reboot is based around primarily on comedy.

RE: State of Cartoon Network
@tactical-ochoa I am going to have so say you very well be right about how incompetent and out of touch the people running cartoon network. https://twitter.com/CNschedules/status/1056611521005060097

RE: State of Cartoon Network
@tactical-ochoa I agree that the 11 minute run time mandate needing to go. the 11 minute limits that the network placed is not always reasonable for many the writers who makes the shows. It also forced producers to cut corners, look at some of the recent cartoon network shows. shows such as Over the Garden Wall, could have easily been a 22 minute show. Transformers: Cyberverse could had been a 22 minute show but instead they made it 11 minutes unlike previous Transformers shows. Cartoon Network in the U.S on tv now has very little to offer to many people. The many shows they have on Cable TV Ondemand could been used as promotion on their linear network. A missed opportunity and they need to stop neglecting their shows by putting them into death time slots. Cartoon Network has became a victim of their own success in Teen Titans Go a show which little kids would outgrow out of it eventually. Their app also needed to be easy to use instead of people trying to work it and they also needed to give an expansion to include all cartoons.

RE: State of Cartoon Network
I had learned that cartoon network prefer 11 minute episodes which had tied the hands of the creators who makes the show which in many can limit creative freedom.

RE: Ben 10 Reboot Discussion Part 1: Season 2
The problem I also see with the current reboot is the 11 minute episode structure. It works good if you are working on a comedy cartoon show but not always good with a plot driven show. If you try to make a plot oriented show you have to makes cuts to make it fit into 11 minutes or some cases make some rush jobs.
