@Omni-Triforcer And this sums up my reaction to it.

Man of action says they are very involved in the reboot. My Faith is restored in it. https://twitter.com/rouleau1/status/681740188733706240

@Omni-Triforcer That's good and does give me some faith but I'd say that's not enough yet. There's still too much that's working against the reboot. I covered every single side and angle there is at the moment. This reboot is still being run by Cartoon Network. This reboot is still not the Ben 10 show that Man of Action truly wants to make. Man of Action still doesn't have full creative control and freedom here. There's a difference between making a show that you are told to make and likely don't even want to make at all and making a show that you really truly want to make. For me, I don't want Man of Action to just be writing and editing the show. I want Man of Action to be the ones actually making the show. To be the ones that are actually writing, designing, and structuring the show in the very way that they envisioned it; not just writing and editing it in the way that Cartoon Network wants it to be made. Those are just my thoughts on it.
It's pretty much just ghost writing at this point. Cartoon Network are still the ones that are actually making the show. Man of Action is just doing what Cartoon Network is telling them to do.
I'm also including the page about Paul Eiding not voicing Max onto this page because I want to include my thoughts on that as part of my arguments and criticisms on the Ben 10 reboot.
-
fair enough.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Yeah. I don't like it myself though but it is something that, I think to me, has to be mentioned. Not everything is what it seems. It's always best to cover every side and angle and figure out what's really going on. Regardless of whether or not it's good.

New artwork of ben and diamondhead what do you think? https://www.instagram.com/p/_66z-PJZjX/
-
@Omni-Triforcer Yeah, I just saw it myself. Diamondhead doesn't look that bad but he doesn't look good either. I agree with ZeVikingSif on the Ben 10 Wiki. The gold really does look stupid and doesn't even make sense. The Omnitrix is supposed to shape Ben's clothes to fit and suit his aliens so where did the gold even come from. It should be green instead. As I stated before, Cartoon Network doesn't even understand what made this series truly great. They can't even get the little things right such as how the Omnitrix is really supposed to function. Diamondhead seems to have more of an appearance to Omniverse in my opinion. Again, doesn't look bad but it's not good either.
As for Ben, if anyone here thought his reboot design looked bad enough, he looks even worse here. Yeah, this reboot really is becoming more like Teen Titans Go. If I even have any faith left in this reboot, I lost even more of it.
-
i mean its not that the gold looks bad its that it just doesn't make sense. Although i wouldn't blame cn for this as someone stated on the wiki they arnt the ones that design the aliens.
Im just wondering if theres more artwork inside the calender if so i want to see if someone who has the calendar can take a pic of it. -
@Omni-Triforcer Hopefully. Also, I mentioned on the Ben 10 Wiki how it's like what Brandon Storm9 stated about ghost writing with Man of Action on this reboot. To me, I see this as ghost designing.
-
yeah i saw that i also mentioned on the wiki how the gold could be a mistake and its actually supposed to be green who knows.
-
@Omni-Triforcer I hope it gets better but considering how Cartoon Network is, I doubt it.
-
someone pointed out on the ben 10 englishboard forums that in af/ua the omnitrix/ultimatrix didnt adapt clothing to the aliens so maybe they took that function out of the omnitrix its a possibilitiy.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Yeah, we saw that ourselves when we watched Alien Force and Ultimate Alien. Apparently, it was I believe because of the Omnitrix recalibrating itself (again, apparently) but I find that as another stupid aspect that the new writers changed and/or did. Like how the Omnitrix itself just somehow magically changed it's physical appearance with no reason as to the purpose why. Again, Dwayne McDuffie did state that he never watched the Original Series before he got to work on Alien Force.
-
Come to think about it, I guess the design for the reboot Diamondhead is acceptable enough. I could be fine with this. His design just needs some improvements to it.
-
Well we are probably less then a year away from the reboot.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Well see how it turns out. There are some good aspects to the image of Ben and Diamondhead that I did mention on the other page that admin made but overall, it's not bad but it's not good enough either. A lot of improvements needs to be made with the design of the reboot Ben and even the reboot Diamondhead. The quality on Ben is just lower than when we first saw him during the reboot announcements and, again, something just spells Omniverse with Diamondhead's design and appearance and that's not a good thing in my book. Plus, compared to what the Original Series had with the designs of Ben and Diamondhead, these reboot designs aren't even close to the quality of the Original Series designs and artwork. I'm just finally glad that we got something official from Cartoon Network at least, even if it's not good. We'll see what else comes out.

Here is an update on this topic page. admin has posted two more pages that show leaked images of the designs for the reboot Diamondhead, Four Arms, and Cannonbolt. Here are the links to those pages. Big thanks to admin for posting them on the Ben 10 Club website. I also left my thoughts on these designs in the comments section of those pages.

Ben 10 Reboot premieres october of this year in europe http://www.regularcapital.com/2016/01/cartoon-network-central-eastern-europe-2016-overview/#.VpVHQGnG40M.twitter

@Omni-Triforcer Yeah, I saw the link. Thanks. Well, since that I live in the U.S. and October 2016 is the international release date, I'll either have to wait until the show is aired in early 2017 or look the reboot up online. I think I'd rather go for the second option. Either way, fingers cross because either this reboot would at least turn out good (I hope) or will end up being one of the worse shows on Cartoon Network since Teen Titans Go. I believe that it's the latter that's most likely going to happen but I'm hoping that the former happens instead. Thanks again for the info.
