Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot Part 3: Show/Episode Discussions

@Tactical-Ochoa o I understand you don't like the reboot, it's kinda getting old hearing your negative opinions, I'm not to fond of the reboot, but have some faith that Ben 10 will be great again.
-
@Rexfan1333 Why do you think I plan on trying to have PlatinumGames make a Ben 10 game in the future? I'm not just hoping that Ben 10 will be great again. I'm trying to make that happen.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa The problem is CN will probably not let that happen (hoping they will find it a little interesting), which sucks because I would love a awesome Ben 10 video game as well as a way better reboot with Teen Ben instead.
-
@Rexfan1333 That doesn't mean I can't try. Considering how big the gaming industry is, CN would be making quite a big mistake not having a company like PlatinumGames make a Ben 10 game.

You realize even if they do agree to make a ben 10 game it wouldnt be the way you want it right? CN would want to make big changes and one of those changes would most likely be making it be more in line with the reboot so they can promote it. Why would they promote a dead show when they have a alive show using the same concept?

@Omni-Triforcer Even though Cartoon Network currently owns Ben 10, they're not working with people like CN Studios and Little Orbit and anyone that's new. This is PlatinumGames, a company devoted to making good quality games. It's more likely that Cartoon Network's going to have a much tougher time getting what they want from a video game company as big as PlatinumGames. Just check out Hideki Kamiya, one of the founders of PlatinumGames, on Twitter. The guy doesn't take bullshit. If Cartoon Network wants their way with Ben 10, it's more likely that they're really going to have to fight for it. Hell, PlatinumGames made Transformers: Devastation. You'd think they would make a Transformers game centered around the live-action films, right? No. They went for a Transformers game based on the original 1980s TV series. If PlatinumGames is willing and able to make a good and successful Transformers game based off an 80s TV series with Activision being the publishers (Activision is famous for being one of the most scummy game publishing companies out there), then they can make a Ben 10 video game based on elements of the Original Series.
Also, do you even remember what I'm going for for a Ben 10 game. Open-world or linear, it's going to take a while to make a video game. This is on par of a AAA developed video game. With the Ben 10 game that I'm going for, it can take a good 2-4 years to fully develop and produce it. With the low reception and negative response that the Ben 10 reboot is getting and with a strong likelihood that the toy line isn't going to do well enough considering how Ultimate Alien and Omniverse's toy line did so poorly in sales, the Ben 10 reboot is most likely only going to last one to two seasons. Even then, each Ben 10 show lasts for a good 2-3 years. By the time the game is finished, the Ben 10 reboot would've most likely already ended or been cancelled. Why would Cartoon Network want PlatinumGames to make a Ben 10 game that promotes the Ben 10 reboot if by the time the game is finished, the Ben 10 reboot would most likely have already ended or been cancelled? Even then, like I said, PlatinumGames isn't going to be as easy for Cartoon Network to push around because they're PlatinumGames; not Cartoon Network Studios.

@Tactical-Ochoa I honestly like to see a Teen Ben video game instead of it being based on the original series, it could have the same style and themes, but it could have darker ones as well. I just honestly like Teen Ben better and would be a cool way to reboot it.

A random (and very useless) question to the ones who live in other country (like me): Did your country's dub changed any alien's name in the reboot? In my country (Brazil), XLR8 kept his original name (pronounced differently) in the original franchise, but in the reboot they're calling him Acelerador (Accelerator). It is pretty much similar to Fasttrack's Brazilian name Acelerado (Uh... Accelerated? I don't have a better translation).
-
@GoodVibes1999 In Russia the names of some characters have translated wrong : Силач Алмаз водохлёст человек огонь, ядро лоза гуманоид, плазма , жук
-
@GoodVibes1999 The norwegian dub have numerous name changes over the years. The most notably is Way Big who was called "Kjempestor" in the original series, "Knallstor" in AF and "Kjempa" in UA and OV. But in the reboot, Overflow's name changes from "Oversvømmelse", "Oversvømmer'n" and "Overflod" from episode to episode.
-
@GoodVibes1999 I understood the name change. "X-L-R-8" sounds like Accelerate in english, but in portuguese the name XLR8 has no name pun, so "Acelerador" actually makes more sense.
Tipo, é um trocadilho em inglês, que no português não funciona, e por isso mudaram. Eu sou brasileiro também LOL
