Please Don't Make The Reboot Like This
-
@Omni-Triforcer @Rexfan1333 That's the problem that I've been noticing with CN's shows lately. Most of them tend to use the same exact or very similar flash art design seen in so many of their shows nowadays. The PPG reboot art design doesn't really feel that much like that of the original PPG. It instead looks very similar to the show Clarence. I'm noticing this with the Ben 10 reboot art design as well.
-
@Rexfan1333 Yeah, exactly.
-
I don't know if I mentioned it before but Nollan Obena, the one making the character designs in the reboot, drew some backgrounds in the original series: http://naproxen500.blogspot.com.br/2007/08/ben-10-secret-of-omnitrix.html?m=1
-
@GoodVibes1999 How do you even know that Nollan Obena is one of the artists for the Ben 10 reboot?
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I think it was revealed in a CN Event in South Africa. And they also said the reboot would premiere there in October.
-
@GoodVibes1999 South Africa?
-
If you haven't seen this yet.

... oh boy
-
@cooljay7 Is it just me or does this song sound to...I guess the right word here is "hip" and I'm referring to the slang meaning of it? Also, what's with the Professor giving that mad scientist-like laugh at the beginning?
Like I said with the Ben 10 reboot, CN better not screw the PPG reboot up as well. PPG being one of CN's best shows, if this reboot fails and just turns out to be another cash grab, oh boy. That's not going to go well for CN. They're going to get a whole lot of pain from this. Plus, if the PPG reboot fails, it'll also end up being another piece of evidence that'll work against the Ben 10 reboot. It'll likely cause even more negative views and responses to the Ben 10 reboot and CN themselves. CN better not screw this up.
-
Actually, not just the song but the intro as a whole as well. It just seems too hip.
-
Does anyone think that the theme song for the PPG reboot is also being pushed way too much in your face and hard to follow on? That's something I've noticed for me as well.
-
Well, I found these clips from the PPG reboot on a Ben 10 forums website.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Oh boy.
-
@cooljay7 I guess that's sarcasm, right?
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I just think that the Powderpuff Girls reboot looks awful and I really hope that Ben 10 does not go down that route.
-
Agree. I mean like christ, these PPG reboot clips are just awful. Especially the second one. If it wasn't clear before that the new voice actors make the Powerpuff Girls sound so off, now it is. It sounds like the new VAs are doing impressions of the PPGs instead of actually voicing the PPGs. Also, by the looks of it, the PPGs are in middle school. Aren't they supposed to be in preschool or kindergarten? The worse part, though, is in the second clip when Buttercup ends up destroying the entire school cafeteria room and endangering the lives of every other student in that very room all because she was trying to throw trash into a trash can while none of the PPGs being concerned over what Buttercup did and if any of the students are ok. I don't remember any of the PPGs being this idiotic and reckless with their powers in the original show, if they weren't even this stupid and reckless at all. If that's how it's going to be like in the PPG reboot, then this is going to make viewers dislike/hate the PPGs as well as very much likely kill off the show. If that's how it's going to be like in the Ben 10 reboot, then it's going to make the reboot Ben, and maybe even Gwen, even more unlikeable or hated than Omniverse Ben, thus very much likely killing off the show. This isn't comedic. This isn't funny. This is another poor excuse to dumbing down characters in an attempt to bring comedy to the show when dumbing down characters isn't even necessary to do for the show. Sorry for the rant but this is just pathetic.
-
I thought the show would be ok since the art style was pretty similar to the past ppg but man was i wrong. This is a total abomination i really hope ben 10 doesn't turn out like this. Honestly i would rather have the Ben 10 Reboot artstyle and 11 minute episodes if it means the show will actually be good i don't want a fairly similar art style to past shows and disgrace it with horrible storytelling.

guys please check out my petition to CN, thanks!

No offense but you know Cartoon Network is not going to read it, right? You guys may hate the channel's current shows but remember these shows also have fandoms who want to be respected like any other. Pretty much every television channel only care about ratings and the viewers who actually like their shows! All of them are going to ignore the ones who judge a show without even watching it or even worse: ignore its fandom's existence. Like I've probably said a lot of times before: Just calm down and let things happen by themselves!
-
@GoodVibes1999 Wow. Way to go bringing some encouragement there and yes, that's sarcasm. Buddy, of course the current shows have fandoms of their own. Pretty much almost every series have fandoms of their own. Even the most hated and/or poor quality shows have at least someone that likes them. Here's another thing, We don't focus out criticisms on other fans. We focus and direct our criticisms on the shows themselves as well as the companies that make and publish them. Most, if not all, fandoms are very much respected like everyone else are.
Also, network channels do care about people that negatively criticize their shows as well and do so in a proper way. How do you think the production crews are going to be able to notice the flaws of each of their shows and figure out ways to improve upon those very flaws? Criticism is very important to have in order to make improvements and more quality works. CN is an exception to this though because CN cares more about the sales of their freakin toy lines than the actual show's ratings and viewer criticisms. That mindset had affected truly great quality shows in such a negative way in regards to CN's treatment of those very shows as well as greatly affecting CN's reputation in a negative way as well. That's CN for you. They care more about marketing and product sales than making actually great quality shows.
Most proper criticisms also come from people who have indeed watched CN's shows. Most viewers also don't judge shows without watching them when they come out. Most people set their criticisms and expectations based on what they know through past experience. Through doing research on CN and everything they did in the past recent years. Why do you think there are so many negative views towards CN and their current and future shows? Because CN makes crap and apparently they are continuing to make crap to the point where they are now pretty much struggling to stay afloat because they lost more viewers than gained and with many good and legitimate reasons as to why. Therefore, most negative criticisms towards CN and their current and upcoming shows that you've noticed are very much justifiable, legitimate, and proper criticisms. Again, most do not judge a show without watching it. Instead they properly and justifiably do their research and review their past experiences in order to set their expectations and form their proper criticisms.
If you want to just sit back and let things happen by themselves, go ahead. Be my guest. Be anyone's guest. However, while you can tell others to do the same, everyone can decide to disagree with you and disregard what you want them to do. At this point though, it feels more like you're trying to shut people up. I could be wrong here but that's what it feels like. Let other people give their opinions. Let other people give their criticisms. Let other people do what @iamre is trying to do himself. Let people speak up because that is what they want to do and nobody else can demand to them otherwise. And yes, CN can and will indeed listen to their viewers if enough people put in the effort to stand up and speak out to them.
I mean like christ, do I really have to link that video from Jim Sterling on here again to help further prove my point. Actually, yeah, I'll just go ahead and link the video on here again because it is one of many great examples as to why people should and are allowed to speak up to stuff like this. Again, let people speak out and don't demand for them not to do so.

Here's another clip from the Powerpuff Girls reboot. God those voices are going to get so annoying and tiresome so quickly.
