  • Just something quick that I wanted to post. Whatever the next Ben 10 show is going to be, one of the many things that I think it should do is bring back Paul Eiding as the voice of Max Tennyson. Sure, I guess you can say that David Kaye did a decent job of voicing Max in the reboot show, but there's just not beating Paul Eiding aka Colonel Campbell himself. He helped make Max so iconic in Ben 10 and Max just doesn't feel like Max without him.

  • Yes I think Ben 10 created Man Of Action should bring back Paul Eiding as the voice of Grandpa Max Tennyson. When they ever think ever do a reboot or the new Ben 10 animated series coming soon in the near future, that'll be real cool.

  • Or maybe they should give Grandpa Max Tennyson his own animated cartoon series " LIFE WITH MAX" in the future on Cartoon Network or on ADULT SWIM. Paul Eiding as the voice of Grandpa Max Tennyson. The story of how Max spending his Me time and traveling alone on the road riding his Rustbucket RV without his grandkids around him.

@Tactical-Ochoa Given that MOA and the other writers were the ones who created him, they probably understand him better than any of us do. And apparently that's the direction which they were going to take Kevin and Charmcaster in the inital sequel Hero Generation. Even when Dwayne McDuffie was brought on he at first wanted to take that same direction with Kevin but then CN mandated Kevin being on Team Tennyson. I don't think that it's completely out of the question that Kevin improves slightly for the better but he would never realistically get close to Ben and Gwen. Perhaps vigilante is the wrong word to use but Kevin doesn't work as a world ending stakes villain as much as he does a personal rival to Ben. Perhaps they're not always purely antagonistical of each other but Kevin works when he challenges the very person whom Ben is. If I had to redo Alien Force would've actually given him his own arc to parallel the character development which Ben goes through. Perhaps something to do with his past and how he was treated back then . Perhaps there would've been a better way to implement his shattered relationship with his own family. Though rather than going down the path of love and light like Ben does, Kevin would probably take the other road of darkness and anger.

@npzman I mean I don’t dislike UAF - it was the era which I grew up with first after all, and there were some awesome concepts in it. The idea of the Highbreed was excellent, as were the DNAliens (given that they were innocent humans under mind control rather than your standard beat ‘em up bad guys). I respect Mcduffie’s writing and honestly, as its own series Alien Force (and by extension Ultimate Alien) works really well as a show. What I will say though is that UAF was not a great *sequel * to the original series. People love to complain about Omniverse’s retcons and plot inconsistencies when they really started all the way back in Alien Force. The Plumbers being changed from a secret organisation dedicated to protecting Earth from aliens into an intergalactic peace force, Kevin being an alien rather than a mutant and most of all the functionality of the Omnitrix being super inconsistent. If the writers had watched the original series properly the sequels would probably be way more watchable.
