  • @Tactical-Ochoa what's your opinion on the potential reappearance of Rath?

@andrew42 Rath is a really funny alien in the show but when it comes to practicality, he's pretty much useless. Rath is just a basic brawler to me and pretty much almost every other alien that Ben has are much better options for Ben to use in combat. Rath being funny is pretty much the only thing that makes him stand out from other aliens. Therefore, if Rath is going to return in the show, I'm not looking forward to it. He's a redundant alien and there are other aliens in the franchise that they could've brought back that are much better options than Rath.

@tactical-ochoa I feel it fits the show. The show is a bit more based on humor, and this new ben is a bit less mature then the one we know. So, if we combine that lack of maturity with Rath's temper tantrums, it could be pretty amusing. I think that Rath was a good choice, since he goes well with the theme. I think we can both agree that we'll get more laughs out of him, in the very least.

  • Also rath is an alien that uses wrestling moves so maybe he can be the wrestling alien in the reboot.

@ultimate-omnitri And other aliens like Fourarms can't use wrestling moves?

  • @ultimate-omnitri And other aliens like Fourarms can't use wrestling moves?

@tactical-ochoa Well they can but they dont usually. If you notice that four arms usually just punched while in omniverse and ultimate alien rath knew alot of wrestling moves. He would even name drop the moves he was using.

  • @ultimate-omnitri And other aliens like Fourarms can't use wrestling moves?

@tactical-ochoa He can, but Rath is: "MACHO!"

  • I'm just glad this confirmed Rath's existence in the Omnitrix.
I would've liked to seen Spidermonkey, Ditto or Upchuck return in the series, since they're really good aliens, especially for a Young Ben.

    @ebomnitrix Ditto.

@ebomnitrix Those would've been better options to bring back instead of Rath.

  • I mean I also would've loved to see Swampfire if they brought back his compost powers, or even bring in Echo Echo, I don't mind Echo Echo appearing since it would be so unique to him, and since MOA is going for more powerful aliens in his additional set rather than unique powers.

  • It is becoming clear to me that the reboot isn't trying to be like the old show but it trying to be something in its own right and i admire it for that. Animo Becoming The Anti-Ben Proves that this show isnt following what past shows have done and i think thats a great idea.

  • @ebomnitrix Those would've been better options to bring back instead of Rath.

@tactical-ochoa i agree, they are better from an all around ability point of view. Rath was picked simply because....Rath. He's a running joke. It was only a matter of time before he appeared in the reboot.
Still, the door is now open for other aliens to return...

@ultimate-omnitri I agree. That's always been my point. The reboot is something new, and we should see it that way. not as a rehash of the old show.

  • At least they didn't ruin Rath, they just made him more like his AF self, but given pants. Well we still can't even confirm that Rath will return yet, since this was Animo-Rath, and even then he wasn't ruined. I'm hoping when Ben does become Rath, it'll be something worthy to be glad over.

  • Im sure we will see rath. They wouldnt just tease us an alien and then throw it away.
I also like the OV Reference with Animo-Rath Wearing Pants.
    "Appoplexians Wear Pants!"

Yeah, sure, even though the Ben 10 reboot copied so much from the original show (along with some elements from the sequel shows) and even still using the same exact premise as the original show. Even though some of the season 2 episodes are still using some elements from the previous shows (Dr. Animo and Vilgax teaming up with each other and Zombozo trying to hypnotize people, for example). Sure, it's definitely trying to do its own thing. It's definitely not following what the previous shows have done already. Sure, the potential of Rath returning is certainly not another example that the reboot is still copying from the previous shows.

@tactical-ochoa Can you not? This is the negativity we're all annoyed by. We find something positive and promising, and you tear it down before our eyes.

Yeah and Fourarms is much stronger than Rath. Let's keep going with this. XLR8 is much faster than Rath. Heatblast can shoot fire and Rath can't. Diamondhead can form crystals and Rath can't. Etc etc etc. Those wrestling moves aren't going to be of much use to Rath if his opponent is either stronger, faster, have unique abilities, etc. Again, Rath is just a redundant brawler.

Granted, they already have Wildvine and Heatblast. I also already made the argument before that Echo Echo is way too powerful of an alien for Ben to have and use.

@tactical-ochoa For the love of Azmuth, Ben uses his aliens recklessly to begin with. He'll think Rath is cool because he's new, and will probably use him anyways, even though he's not that powerful. Visual appeal and impact in the show matter more to the producers then how effective the aliens are in battle.

@offbeatcat Well, yes, not a lot of people look at the bright side of the Ben 10 reboot because the flaws that it has overshadow the positives of it. That happens all the time with various movies, shows, video games, etc. If the negatives outweigh the positives, people focus more on criticizing and pointing out the negatives more than praising the positives. Ghostbusters (2016), Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Suicide Squad, Metal Gear Survive, the Powerpuff Girls reboot, etc. are all examples of it. It works the other way around as well. If the positives outweigh the negatives, people praise the positives more than they criticize and point out the negatives (well, that's unless they're far left SJWs because those folks always look for negatives in everything for political reasons). Nier Automata, Doom (2016), the original Teen Titans, Ed Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dunkirk, Batman: The Dark Knight, Logan, Deadpool 1 and 2, Forrest Gump, etc. There are some exceptions out there but overall, that's generally how most people are.

Im getting used to gwens design little by little. Im still wondering whos voicing her. Max looks pretty good to thankfully they kept his red flower shirt in tact since it so iconic with the character.
