Hello! Im new here im a old ben 10 fan and a bwen fan

I saw this show when i was in middle school when i first watched it the concept of a kid turning into a superpowered alien interest me. I thought this superhero show was pretty original since it wasent based on marvel or dc comics. Also while watching the show time to time i noticed the weird subtext between ben and gwen and was freaked out as a kid. I remember going to youtube and saw a lot of people commenting on the subtext and making incest jokes about. What really freak me out was when one promo showed gwen being jealous of ben when he was walking with another girl. For awhile this creeped me out until i found out that ben and gwen weren't suppose to related at first and gwen was switched to be his cousin at the last minute because the creators couldn't find a good reason why a unrelated girl would travel with ben and his grandpa for so long and they forgot to remove all that subtext after the switch was made. Now my opinions soften as time went on and i ship it even if other ships became canon.

Im not much of a fan of the sequel series it had to much retcons and ben and gwen felt occ in alien force and ultimate alien. I only watched a few episodes of alien force and quit because thats when it really lost my interest.

As for the new reboot i feel like its avarage at best. I wished it was a much better reboot that dosen't follow the recent cartoon trend these days.

Gwen wasn’t jealous in this promo she was annoyed with Ben’s attitude towards the girl. Even if they weren’t supposed to be related they are and it’d still be very creepy.

@omni-triforcer Its not that promo, It was a old next week episode promo it showed ben walking with another random girl while gwen was leaning onto the rv giving a jealous glare while ben and the girl walked past gwen. That freaked me out as a kid and i remember people recording that promo and putting it on youtube a lot of people made incest jokes about it.

@tactical-ochoa Yup but, the scene never happened in the actual episode. The executives at cartoon network must have found out and got rid of it in the actual episode. Also my friend that doesn't watch ben 10 that much told me about seeing that promo to.

@tactical-ochoa Sadly, no there used to be a youtube video of it but i think it got taken down a long time ago. As for the episode i dont remember which episode the promo was advertising. All i remember was how that deleted scene went.

@tactical-ochoa Honestly how can you have a relationship with someone youve lived your whole life with? It seems like Ben and Gwen were pretty close and i dont see how they can possibly have a relationship and have it not be creepy. Step Cousins is one thing and even that is over the line but blood is another. Not only is it bad biologically for your kids but, its overall just gross.
