State of Cartoon Network

@ebomnitrix said in State of Cartoon Network:
OK KO will probably get the same treatment too later on, I mean every time CN airs a new show, it airs all over the place alongside Gumball and TTG.
So if Ben 10 disappears from the network, it'll be why like every other show has, and once CN gets "its newest show" so will OK KO. Just common CN knowledge at this point.
If it isn't TTG, Gumball or even We Bare Bears, or 10 year old movies, they won't air it.How is any show and any network is supposed to have any long term success with such practice on a broadcast network.
-
It'll be the day when both TTG and Gumball are cancelled and removed from the channel. (Yeah gumball is a good show but the amount of times they show it is very annoying when they have other shows aswell)
-
But other than that the schedule is getting better and better.

I believe that cartoon network can be turned around but it would require changes. I believe that in order for cartoon network to work. Everything needs function as a whole for example on demand and apps should have a live broadcast as a way to promote their many shows as possible. If one has Google Play, iTunes and Amazon Video or have any of the DVDs or Blue-ray. If you own any of their shows on any of these platforms. You are not likely to watch any of these shows on the network if you already own any of the shows. On Nickelodeon and on the Disney channels they try to give exposure of their shows even to the newcomers as much as possible in a practical manner. I do acknowledge that displaying the old SD shows is not always practical on HDTV sets especially if the master copy were never made in widescreen. With Boomerang now having paid subscription programming service. I do not see it being able to continue on as a broadcast network, for boomerang in all practicality to continue on a broadcast network in the form of a daytime block as a way to promote the service since Bryan of NickandMore, regularcapital and a few other users on the internet had started to predict its demise. I see boomerang as a live network in being shut down or rebranded as something like a tooncast or another cartoon network. I can see adult swim continue to encroach on cartoon network unless changes were to be made in the long term. The problem cartoon network has with teen titans go is licensing agreements and contracts. I do not believe it's ever healthy in the long term to keep constantly airing it when it’s not a cartoon network original especially if you can buy on a streaming platform as I mention in at the top. I can see warner brothers starting to want to use it as leverage seeing that cartoon network did not keep their other acquisitions in good treatment. Cartoon Network should take notes on how their foreign feeds are running like in Europe and Southeast Asia. They should also remember their commitment to all animation as they once had in the past as it once they should as it breathe new life into the older shows. In the past it gave the Dragon Ball Z English dub new life and has extended to new episodes. Along with it, is creative freedom as long it’s in a reasonable limit. If cartoon network should rerun any of their old shows it should naturally be made in widescreen if not they should not stretch it, thus distorting the image nor should they chop it off thus cutting off detail and the same should go for adult swim since 4:3 television shows weren’t made as 16:9 widescreen. Also reruns of new shows should be used to catch up for people who missed the episode and should complement the app and on demand service as promotion. Reruns of continuity driven shows once they have enough episodes should only be given timeslots that gives viewers the best exposure. Live action shows should be avoided since it turned out be a disaster. They should not just rely the On demand and streaming app as their primary channels and the live network feed should be given equal treatment as the apps and On demand, everything should work together as a whole unit. Any arguments or anything you want to add just reply.

I just found out that Clarence is currently on its final Season (3). The show will most likely not being ending this year but sometime in 2018.
-
It's final season already?
-
@fangdanerd Yeah. Also just saw this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgILawtRWYA. Looks like we are getting a new Scooby-Doo show.
-
@cooljay7 Yay....
-
@cooljay7 I'm half and half on this mainly because there really aren't any bad scooby doo shows like be cool scooby doo was more comedic but there wasn't really anything bad about it besides the artstyle and daphne's character. ........but at the same time its cartoon network sooooo i could be wrong
-
@jrphilgene I tried to watch Be Cool Scooby Doo and I just couldn't watch it. So I'm hoping they go a different direction in this iteration. Wouldn't mind seeing a show like Mystery Incorporated.
-
@cooljay7 though it may not exactly be a new series i remembered supernatural and scooby doo are going to havr an animated crossover episode so it could be just that
-
@cooljay7 Be cool scooby doo actually isn't that different from the first scooby doo show or whats new Scooby-Doo mainly just the episode length, the art style and the fact that Daphne is now the comic relief but other than that it keeps the same elements of most scooby doo shows

Stuart Snyder Wasn't The Worst President Of Cartoon Network by JohnsonHood Daypool
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJGm5nr4j4kYeah, I agree. Snyder really wasn't that bad; especially when compared to Christina Miller.
-
@fangdanerd @james Yeah, it really is getting a little better now. Hopefully, this finally means that Cartoon Network is actually listening to their fans and viewers now. Hopefully this keeps up.
-
@tactical-ochoa I'm actually surprised that they are listening to people.
