  • man I would love to see a event like this in grand rapids Michigan so I could try to go to it

  • @Omni-Triforcer Of course I was right. I pretty much knew that the reboot is just a retelling/remake of the Ben 10 OS. I knew ever since the Ben 10 reboot was first announced because they gave us the very premise of the reboot, which is the same exact premise as the OS. So yeah, this reboot is pretty much a remake of the OS with many, if not most, elements of the reboot coming from any of the other previous Ben 10 shows and that's it. The Ben 10 reboot is pretty much a remake of the OS.

@Omni-Triforcer No but as I said many times before, it's very much unnecessary. As I also said before, what is the point of watching this "reboot" when you could just go and watch the OS again which does pretty much everything that the reboot is doing but much better? Actually, scratch that, it IS a bad thing to do especially when the reboot show doesn't improve on what the original show achieved. You're really going to be excited for a show that just retells the same exact story as another show within the same series but done worse and not better? If this was a true reboot, there would've been a good chance that there would be a new direction to the story. Something different. Something unique.

There's Ben 10 fan fiction, that I've come across, that would suit much better as a reboot. One example from fan fiction: Ben and Gwen are already teenagers, Max and Ben's dad are dead, Ben and Gwen find the Omnitrix hidden in the Rustbucket with a message from Max asking them to keep it safe, and Ben puts on the Omnitrix. Another example from fan fiction: Max and Gwen go on their summer road trip, a pod lands near Gwen, inside the pod is a young possibly human boy not from Earth that's wearing the Omnitrix, Gwen names that boy Ben, Ben uses the Omnitrix to help people while learning more about Earth and getting more accustomed to living in human society, Ben and Gwen learn more about Ben's past as he was studied by Azmuth during the creation of the Omnitrix acting as a test subject for it, etc. Yeah, that example would have the summer road trip premise but we would get a new and different direction to Ben as a character and how that would impact the story. Another example would be to reboot Alien Force by making Ben 10 Hero Generation. It could arguably be a remake but it would still go a different direction for the series than what Alien Force onwards went, which would be enough to consider Hero Generation to be a reboot.

Going back to the Ben 10 reboot, again, it is a bad thing that this current reboot is going this direction of just merely retelling the same story as the OS; especially, again, if the reboot doesn't improve on what the OS managed to achieve. It was a bad move and direction for Cartoon Network and Cartoon Network Studios to take with the Ben 10 series. This is something that's going to backfire on them and hurt them even more; especially if the reboot turns out to be average or mediocre or worse. Even if the reboot ends up being good, if it doesn't turn out to be better than the OS, there's a good chance that it's going to flop and fail.

  • In the opinion of a person who doesn't care very much about the original series (I only watched four or five episodes), I have a extremely positive outlook on the reboot and I think a lot of people are going to like it.

@Tactical-Ochoa I agree plus also I like your idea for the show plus that version could have bwen in it

@GoodVibes1999 You only watched 4-5 episodes of the OS? Dude, come on. Go and look up and watch all 4 seasons. Get yourself caught up in the series. At least that's my suggestion for you. You're really missing out on it.

  • @GoodVibes1999 Yeah take it from me dude. The OS was awesome.

@GoodVibes1999 ah yeah watch the original series plus the race against time movie now those are good compared to the new crap

  • 2 days guys! Get hype!

  • 2 days guys! Get hype!

@Omni-Triforcer Or people here can instead not get hyped and lower their expectations enough so that if they want to look forward to the reboot, they can while at the same time they won't be at least as badly disappointed if the show doesn't turn out to be good. Getting hyped more often leads to disappointment; especially when something is potentially more likely to not turn out to be good, like this reboot. I have seen this happen way too many times.

My suggestion and recommendation, DON'T...GET...HYPED. If anyone's expectations for this reboot is too high, lower it down.

@Tactical-Ochoa my expectations on it are really really low to me it is going to be like the Hindenburg disaster

@Omni-Triforcer What? Fix your spelling and grammar and clarify yourself on what you're trying to say. I'm not getting what you're saying here.

  • Adventure Time will end in 2018 with a Season 9

  • So here's something that just recently came to mind for me. I mentioned the idea of making a reboot that would act as a sequel to the Ben 10 OS. A Ben 10 reboot that maintains the continuity of the OS while also writing out everything from Alien Force onwards out of continuity. A reboot of Ben 10 Alien Force. I've had a good share of people saying that this idea wouldn't work well especially since that it would alienate at least a large portion of the Ben 10 fanbase that liked the sequel shows among other reasons. Well, that very idea worked for Star Wars, didn't it?

Star Wars had the Expanded Universe and the Star Wars fanbase really liked, enjoyed, and favored it quite a lot. When Disney took over, they declared the Expanded Universe no longer canon and decided instead to bring in a new continuity to replace it, starting with Star Wars The Force Awakens. The fanbase wasn't happy about the Expanded Universe being removed from continuity but at least most, if not all, of the fanbase are really liking, enjoying, and favoring the new continuity and are even looking forward to what else the new continuity is going to offer for Star Wars.

Star Wars even ended up in a similar situation in regards to the Prequel Trilogy that the Ben 10 series ended up in with everything from Alien Force onwards.

If this very idea of a sequel reboot worked very well for Star Wars, why not Ben 10?

@Tactical-Ochoa I agree also most of the fans of alien force are probably twilight fans and to me I say screw them because of them gwevin was made plus they support a pedophile relationship in the twilight series because of Jacob imprinting on renesmee Cullen who was a newborn at the time he imprinted on her

  • What the hell is with Ben's eyes?

Im getting used to gwens design little by little. Im still wondering whos voicing her. Max looks pretty good to thankfully they kept his red flower shirt in tact since it so iconic with the character.

Well I mean... recognizing the Powerpuff Girl's pattern is supposed to kinda be like Ben 10's only done probably way different since this isn't a sequel series, its a full on fleshed reboot. I think they would have big or popular villains return in this show, MAYBE SOME FROM UAF, I don't know? Because I wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Animo did appear in this show, I'd just be surprised if he didn't.

Well, Tara Strong is going to voice Ben again for the Ben 10 reboot after all. Or at least be in the cast for the reboot. Thank god. At least we finally got something that's very good. https://twitter.com/tarastrong/status/745623405035061248

oh yeah i thought you meant they changed the reboot upgrade design. I mean every alien has been redesigned and as far as i can see this is one of the non drastic ones.
