So we've been informed that the reboot is going to have a lot of new not-seen before villains, but what about the old ones? Now we know that some, like Vilgax and Kevin(very important to the story) and Animo(a classic) are 99% sure to reappear, but what of others, like Zombozo, Ghostfreak, Hex&Charmcaster, Rojo, etc.
Is there a possibility to include villains from the sequels into the show, especially considering this is a reboot of the Original Series? What are your thoughts?
On the positive side, the new artwork has always given my a Xiaolin Showdown feel for some reason.
And hopefully you'll all agree that XS was an awesome cartoon.
I really hope the new Ben 10 doesn't end up being a comedy centric show. That's my biggest fear, as you notice, action cartoons aren't popular anymore (for some reason), and nowadays it's all about comedy-specifically, random hunour (FOR SOME REASON).
Please CN, we don't need another Teen Titans Go! Say what you want about Omniverse but atleast even THAT series managed to have its action packed moments.

@Tactical-Ochoa I can't remember if I ever noticed something was going to happen with Ghostfreak. If I recall there's this little fun fact that Ghostfreak was Ben's least used alien.
In the Original series, my favorite villain was Ghostfreak. First, he was my favorite of the original 10 aliens, but I always felt that he was different from the others. I was surprised to see I was right.
I think Ghostfreak's a good villain in general and I enjoyed his arc where it revealed that all those monster-aliens were his underlings, but for the most part it's because he was my favorite alien.

I like this kind of backstory, mostly because it isn't something that's cliche to the type of character Khyber is(like say, he comes from a species/family of hunters). Instead, Khyber's people live on a basically all around crappy planet, with his species(Zaroffians) forced to make a living by mining. Those who escape live on to become some of the most feared individuals in the galaxy. Interestingly, most Zaroffians that get off-world become warlords and criminals, but Khyber decided to pursue hunting.

@Tactical-Ochoa For me Rook, the villains, and the Nemetrix were the best thing about Omniverse.
@Tactical-Ochoa What about Malware (who I also like). I think Malware was the closest to the next Vilgax.
@Tactical-Ochoa Well, to be fair Khyber didn't have that many appearances in the show anyways. After the 2nd season he disappeared until Albedo teamed up with him and then had his final appearance with Skurd where he was finally caught by the Plumbers.
@Tactical-Ochoa Yeah if I could come up with a good comparison, it's kinda like the dynamic between Spiderman and Venom, just based on the fact that Venom has Spiderman's powers and was always stronger than him.
@Tactical-Ochoa Personally I grew to like Kevin as a hero, but I completely agree with the rest of what you said. Kevin was a terrifying villain in the Original Series and it's great that what you said about him representing an evil version of Ben, or what if Ben used his abilities for evil deeds.
In fact I really like those types of villains where they have all the powers and abilities of the heroes plus their own unique power. I like to call them the "superior version", and the obstacle for the hero being to fight this enemy who has everything they had and more.
I say other than Vilgax because we all know you can't beat the protagonist's arch nemesis, like Batman with Joker. That and it would be too obvious. So besides Vilgax, who is your favorite Ben 10 villain and why?
For me, I'd have to say Khyber the Huntsman. While I liked Omniverse overall, I have to admit that the biggest reason I watched was for Khyber. Why I liked him:
-I'd say his introduction was reminiscent of Vilgax in the Original Series. In the shadows watching, intimidating, mysterious, and charismatic. You have no idea who this guy is but you know he's a serious threat.
-His motives. Khyber is different from other villains who fought Ben for the Omnitrix. Where most of them wanted the Omnitrix for power, or to sell it to the former for profit, Khyber sought out the Omnitrix to be his greatest trophy, to prove that he was"the greatest hunter in the galaxy". It's funny, I've never found myself too interested in the hunter villains, but I guess in the universe of Ben 10, I liked it as it offered something different in a villain for that series.
-The Nemetrix. Even though it was Psychobos who created the Nemetrix, you know that this device was fit to be Khyber's signature weapon. I really liked the idea of the Nemetrix, transforming it's wearer into vicious predatory alien animals that were actually the natural predators of the aliens in the Omnitrix. It was creative for what you could call the anti-thesis to the Omnitrix. Plus, it added a new bunch of alien transformations to like outside the Omnitrix (favorite predator is Tyrannopede). I wish we could've seen more of the Nemetrix and more predators for the Omnitrix aliens.
And there's other stuff like his appearance, personality (he's calm, intimidating, patient), etc.
And there you go. Khyber is my favorite villain in the Ben 10 franchise other than Vilgax. I really hope he returns in the Ben 10 Reboot (if it turns out good)
