Please Don't Make The Reboot Like This
-
@GoodVibes1999 To me it just seems so childish. It seems like the show is going to be more of a comedy show than an action/adventure show.
-
@cooljay7 Well, while it may look like a watered down version of the original series, it doesn't look too silly. TTG is the extremely silly one! I may hate Teen Titans Go (and the original Teen Titans to be honest, superhero series don't match my tastes), but I think CN will do better with TTG and the Ben 10 reboot.
-
@cooljay7 I agree. I've even been saying this many times as well. My expectations are just very low for the Ben 10 reboot. It'll have even worse negative views if the Powderpuff Girls reboot fails. CN is just going for cash grabs at this point.
For the PPG reboot, the artwork looks very much the same as that of Clarence and many other of CN's shows that use the same flash art design. The flash art design is even affecting the animation quality. Buttercup also sounds really off as well. Not really good first impressions there; especially considering that CN had been doing a bunch of advertising on PPG reboot merchandise way before the promo trailer even popped up.
I'm hoping this Ben 10 reboot turns out good at least but I'd rather stick to my expectations. Also, here's another promo trailer of the PPG reboot. For some reason, the main characters have the same powers as the Green Lantern. I'm not really sure about that at the moment.

I can totally understand how you feel about the PPG reboot, all the characters look like Clarence rejects and I don't like it. I'll try to give a watch and see if it'll get better through time though. (Loved the PPG when I was young)
-
@cooljay7 I also noticed some people saying that Bubbles sounds nothing like the original PPG Bubbles. Then again, can you really beat Tara Strong in a role like that? Especially since that she can mold and change her voice very well to suit the character that she's voicing? Already I'd rather have the original voice actresses back to voice the main characters of the PPG reboot than to have these new VAs.
-
@cooljay7 That's just what I've been thinking.. With eleven minutes per episode they can't develop much of a story.
Why do they have to reboot everything. -
@car54 Because CN wants to make a profit.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa
There's no problem with profit, without it there would never have been a CN or Ben 10,, but they could do it with a quality product. -
@car54 True. The problem is that CN values profits over quality products. Yes, it is very important to earn a profit to keep a company financially supported but if CN doesn't provide quality with their products and keeps giving their viewers crap, eventually people are going to leave and CN would find themselves no longer being able to earn the profits they need to keep themselves afloat. It's fine if CN wants to earn themselves a lot of money. Just make sure that they're giving their viewers something great that is worth watching as well.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Yes, they are taking a very short sighted approach to their business.

i thought the ppg reboot looked pretty good but idk it seems pretty much the same as the original.

@Omni-Triforcer To me, the Powerpuff Girls reboot feels very unnecessary. That the PPG reboot is being made just to act as another cash grab that CN is trying to attempt here. I mean like christ, there was a ton of advertising on PPG reboot merchandise a while back and the reboot itself isn't even out yet. It comes out this spring. It feels more like CN is trying to build up success off of the brand name and the merchandise and that's it. Like the Ben 10 reboot, there's just too much that's working against the Powerpuff Girls reboot. If the PPG reboot fails, then it's just likely going to end up creating even more negative responses towards the Ben 10 reboot as well as cause all sorts of harm and damage to CN.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I've never been a PPG fan but I can't think of any reboot, cartoon or live action, that wasn't crap. But maybe I'm just being an old man.
-
@cooljay7 ...that's literally exactly like the old cartoon. What are you going on about honestly
-
@Hawk-Kawaii he's talking about the background characters in the PPG reboot I think, they look like they are ripped from Clarence to me. (I don't like the show much because of that art style) and the animation looks a bit odd as well.

yeah i did notice that the backround characters dont look like the girls artstyle at all.
-
@Omni-Triforcer @Rexfan1333 That's the problem that I've been noticing with CN's shows lately. Most of them tend to use the same exact or very similar flash art design seen in so many of their shows nowadays. The PPG reboot art design doesn't really feel that much like that of the original PPG. It instead looks very similar to the show Clarence. I'm noticing this with the Ben 10 reboot art design as well.
-
@Rexfan1333 Yeah, exactly.
-
I don't know if I mentioned it before but Nollan Obena, the one making the character designs in the reboot, drew some backgrounds in the original series: http://naproxen500.blogspot.com.br/2007/08/ben-10-secret-of-omnitrix.html?m=1

@GoodVibes1999 How do you even know that Nollan Obena is one of the artists for the Ben 10 reboot?
