Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot Part 3: Show/Episode Discussions
-
@KorseBLI-ND Ben doesn't have anything and I'm pretty sure Gwen will get the spell book at some point.
-
I mean like for ben his clothes would be destroyed if a boulder hits the rustbucket and causing the fuel tank to blow
-
So seeing that they normally release a bunch of episodes on the first week of the premiere do you think that we will get two more tonight

@Rexfan1333 said in Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot Part 3:
@Tactical-Ochoa Ben is still getting use to the Omnitrix and the fact that Cannonbolt his harder to control is kinda a problem.
@Rexfan1333 Still doesn't excuse the pointless antics that Ben went through to try and get the Rustbucket back. Ben could've simply and easily transform into XLR8, get ahead of the Rustbucket, find a good spot for an ambush, change into Upgrade, and then once the Rustbucket gets close enough, Ben as Upgrade could just easily integrate into the Rustbucket and make it stop. Problem solved. That type of thinking is what Ben did a lot in the OS, which was worked on by MOA who were working on this reboot. Ben had plenty of time to think that up as well. It's an example of bad writing coming from a team that we expect better out of. One of what I believe to be many examples of bad writing that we're going to end up seeing in this reboot here.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa The whole point of the reboot is that Ben is still learning about the watch and it's power and is not experienced, even OS Ben made a lot of mistakes, this version is no different from that Ben, he's still young and not very mature yet, this is just the beginning of the series and it has potential have Ben grow and become better with the Omnitrix, you seriously need to stop comparing this series with the OS, it's not supposes to be exactly like it, it's a reboot so things are going to be different and not the same that doesn't mean it's bad, at least it's way better that the PPG reboot and TTG, this just show CN are on the right track.
-
So we got episodes 3 and 4,
Now if we can just get Episodes 1 and 2....
(I really wanna see Waterfilter and The Ring Leader) -
Can't wait to see new Ben 10 Reboot episodes of Waterfilter and The Ring Leader really soon that'll be cool
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I agree also rexfan1333 to me ben was a idiot for using cannonbolt to get the rustbucket back
-
@KorseBLI-ND Ben was alway an idiot, not in a bad way, even in the original series and beyond, it's part of his character to not be too OP. Even though he he can be pretty intelligent, he is still a human being that's not perfect and makes a lot of mistakes.
-
@Ebomnitrix Me too.
-
I know but the original series version of ben was not much of a idiot like this version he sounds way more dumb in this version
-
@KorseBLI-ND this version is just like the original and he's freaking 10 for god sakes.
-
@Rexfan1333 I understand where you're coming from, this new Ben seems the same to me plus I try not to compare this series to the original because I think that if you compare it to the original your expectations are set too high and you won't be able to enjoy the show for what it is. I don't even consider this show to be part of the Ben prime timeline
-
@JrPhilgene I agree, I honestly say the reboot turned out better than I expected, I mean of course some people won't like it because of the jokes and such, but I feel this series has a lot of potential for a great storyline. I also try not to compare this to the original, I just want to see the fun as well as the future of this new series. Let's hope this series kicks the PPG reboot and TTG butt.
-
@Rexfan1333 it already did kick their butt. A friend of mine kept telling me that the reboot would end up like the ppg reboot but after seeing one of the episodes he changed his mind. Obviously there are people that wouldn't like it but I doesn't really matter I honestly can't wait to see what else this show has in store for us in the future and I hope Ben and Gwen age during the reboot or in the sequels since its safe to assume that Ben10 won't be ending soon

You realize he's 10 right? and even so at this point ben hasn't unlocked master so he can't switch aliens at will. Think things through dude. I know you are trying to find things wrong with the way ben acts but he did nothing wrong during that part.
On a different note this can't possibly be the same ben from OS since he doesn't know who zombozo is
-
so i just found out that upgrade is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal ,Wildvine and overflow are voiced by Dee Bradley Baker and Stinkfly is voiced by Roger Craig Smith

@Rexfan1333 No, the whole point of the reboot is that Cartoon Network just wants to sell more toys and cater to the minority while having very little to no care in regards to the quality of the show itself. Even the Ben in the early moments of the OS showed more maturity, responsibility, and capability than the reboot Ben. And no, I'm not going to stop comparing the reboot to the OS. This Ben 10 show is labeled as a reboot of the OS and, like I said before and am very much correct on, is also pretty much a remake of the OS. So yes, as I've stated many times before, it's very much expected for me and almost everyone else to go and make comparisons between the OS and the reboot much like how almost everyone compared the PPG reboot to the original PPG. I am and will continue to compare the reboot to the OS. Deal with it.
In fact, here's another thing about these episodes that just came out. They're the first two episodes of the reboot to air and yet it already feels as if I'm at the midpoint of the series. In The Filth, Ben mentions how he's already been going hero plenty of times already. In Freaky Gwen Ben, Ben already know about Hex even though this is the first time that we've seen Hex in this reboot. Clearly, Ben has gone through plenty of moments of being a hero to already learn enough and gain enough experience with it to know better and to be better capable.
And no, considering what's happening right now, CN is not back on track. I'm also finding more and more people showing more dislike towards the episodes. That what people are expecting for this reboot to be is being very much the case. I'm also noticing more and more people that were looking forward to the reboot showing disappointment.
@JrPhilgene It will matter if the people that don't like the reboot are in the majority because like I've stated before, the majority will always speak over and drown out the minority. The majority will always have the final say. The majority will define what is objective. If the majority doesn't favor the Ben 10 reboot, yes, it will very much matter.
@Omni-Triforcer You realize that Ben is a 10-year-old kid with the one of the most powerful devices in the universe, right? Even in the early moments of the OS, even when Ben has to learn to be a better hero, he still shows that he's very much a capable character. The OS still showed that Ben has to and needs to know better because he was in a position where he had to show more care and responsibility with the Omnitrix. Even when Ben was being Ben even in the first season of the OS, Ben still showed more responsibility, care, intelligence and thought, and capability than what they're showing Ben as in the reboot. Not even Ben in the first season of the OS would make mistakes like that because even though he's not the brightest person and there was a lot that he had to learn, Ben was still very much capable in a fight and was still very much capable of adapting to the situations that he found himself in. Yes, he did plenty of things wrong and made plenty of mistakes in the reboot that the OS Ben wouldn't dare to make. Yes, I did thing this through.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa That's fine that you feel that way, but I think the reboot has lots of potential, of course the series will start off rocky at first, even the original series did at one point. I really don't want to have a argument with you over this if you still too stubborn to give this series a chance, honestly no matter what you think of it other people will think of it differently so that's your opinion not a fact, this series is facing what Omniverse has gotten and look how good that series turned out so I don't really care what you think of the reboot. That's your problem, so sorry you still feel that way.
-
I was thinking of something. These two episodes that we have right now might have been aired for promotional purposes or something. Maybe on October 8th or 10th we will get a true first episode that will show Ben getting the Omnitrix. Maybe. That's just my guess.
