Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot Part 2
-
@Ebomnitrix Damn straight.
-
I hope they keep Dr, Animos voice the same
-
Who's gonna do the voice of Grandpa Max in the Ben 10 Reboot series?
-
@jondennison72 Don't know yet.
-
@Ebomnitrix I agree also most kids most kids now of days wont know a good show if it bit them I watched star blazers and captain harlock and tenchi muyo and voltron when I was younger now those were some good shows not like these 11 minute crap shows
-
Someone commented on the last video from Ben 10 Club (The Phillipines Trailer) Who will be the new voice of Headblast
and he said it will be
Roger Craig Smith. Anyone think its true? -
@Ben-10-Fan Maybe. Someone made a joke or comment saying that Sonic is voicing Heatblast. Heatblast does have a bit of a Sonic voice to him and Roger Craig Smith is the current voice actor for Sonic. This is only maybe though. Like I said, it's not usually best to tell who is voicing which character just by the sound of the character's voice. So yeah, maybe. Maybe yes or maybe no.
-
Yes Craig Roger Smith will be the voice of some Characters here on his website he said
Listen for me as "Diamondhead" (and other characters) on the new Cartoon Network series BEN 10 coming later in 2016.
http://www.rogercraigsmith.com•Ben - Tara Strong
•Diamondhead -Craig Roger Smith
•Fourarms - John DiMaggio
•Headblast - Craig Roger Smith -
@Ben-10-Fan Well, there we go. Nice find.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Thanks I was
just looking for official news for the new voice of Heatblast and
that was what i found but still Thanks -
@Ben-10-Fan Yeah, again, good find. Regardless though, I still don't like any of the voices for the aliens in the reboot and I already stated why.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Well, I don't mind the new voices, at least Tara is back, even though I wish she didn't come back as Ben honestly, I honestly wanted to see new voices for the aliens because that's how reboots work, it's a new take on a franchise. I honestly hope. Roger Craig Smith would voice Teen Ben someday (even though I feel Jermey Shada and Josh Keaton are perfect for the roll of Ben, I think Roger can pull him off)

@Ebomnitrix said in Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot Part 2:
Well remember CN is aiming for a younger audience.
They have to get people to appeal to the show, by hiding all the violent/action scenes.
That's how Steven Universe got away with it at first, and certain other shows. Because if you show their new audience nowadays there's gonna be action, they're not going to watch it.
Plus, International CN has said that the violence on Ben 10 was too much and certain scenes, which is why the cut them, every network but US basically cuts a bunch of scenes in terms of action, drama, romance, if its not child-like, then CN will force the hammer, so this Ben 10 will be directly aimed for kids, and a new fanbase, not us.
BUT I think you are right though @Omni-Triforcer, I think it is a YouTube based episode they're doing, because Ultimate Spider-Man had that kind of episode, I think that's what they're doing too. Remember, MOA has worked on a lot of Disney stuff before their show, so a lot of their elements from Big Hero 6 (animation), and tone of episodes (Disney's Marvel Shows) are gonna play a big effect with this series.Overall, unlike cartoon shows of the 1990s and 2000s, cartoon shows nowadays have strict standards and practices. In my opinion, I despise strict standards and practices. It limits creativity so much and thus could hurt the quality of shows significantly. There's so little freedom that could be done for a show today. Some of the best shows on Cartoon Network were the more older, classic ones back in the 90s and 2000s that were able to get away with so much because creators had the freedom to do what they wanted to focus on. Courage the Cowardly Dog had an episode about domestic abuse and prostitution and all that stuff and it was one of the best and most memorable episodes out there. Let's not forget the good set of episodes in that show that were very nicely tear jerking, such as the one with the space squid (even today, that episode makes me tear up). Now there's all these cartoon shows on Cartoon Network that mostly play it too safely, deciding instead to have these shows be more focused on having a world of sunshine and rainbows instead of showing kids what the real world is really like and/or giving kids a chance to think for themselves and be able to properly develop their minds by challenging them to think and be intellectual.
I blame a lot of parents for today's cartoon shows and today's standards and practices as well. A lot of parents nowadays would rather shield their kids from what the real world really offers. Now that's understandable because a lot of parents do care about their kids. However, that's not the proper way of preparing kids for what's out there.
I watched a video on YouTube recently showing some clips of the 2012 movie Dredd and in the comments section, a parent commented on the video demanding for the YouTuber to shut down his/her channel considering that the parent's son watched that very same video. Be mindful of this, Dredd is a bloody, gory, and violent film because it remains faithful to the Judge Dredd comic series. However, it is not the YouTuber's fault for what the kid was exposed to. This was all on the parent and the parent that commented on the video got rightfully berated for it.
Instead of blaming cartoon shows and networks for what kids get exposed to and demanding for more stricter standards and practices, what parents should be doing are being good proper parents and sitting down with their kids and talking to them about what the real world is really like. Let kids be exposed to shows that have the very type of content that cartoon shows back then had. Give kids a chance to think for themselves and develop their minds. Challenge kids with more unique morals that teaches about all sorts of stuff that the real world really offers instead of just tossing out more generic morals about friendship and all that stuff with little effort put into them. The same goes for the networks as well. Toss away the strict standards and practices and let creators have the freedom to take a show to its greatest potential.

@Rexfan1333 Well I do mind about the new voices for the aliens because they're crap and this goes for the many, if not most, others that have heard these new voices for the aliens in the reboot. Tara Strong may be back to voice Ben but by the looks of it so far, they did a flip to what the PPG reboot did. Bring back Tara Strong but have every other character voiced by different voice actors. I don't want Roger Craig Smith voicing Diamondhead and Heatblast. I don't want Greg Cipes, or whoever that is, voicing Stinkfly. I don't want for Paul Eiding to not voice Max Tennyson. I want voice actors such as Steve Blum, Dee Bradley Baker, Jim Ward, Richard McGonagle, Richard Steven Horvitz, etc to come back and voice their respected alien characters. I want voice actors like Paul Eiding and Meagan Smith to come back and voice and portray their respected characters.
I want the best and most suited voice actors to voice and portray these characters. Not someone new just for the sake of having something new for the series. And no, that's not how reboots work. Bringing something new to a series is not how reboots work because anything can bring something new to the table for a series. The way a reboot is actually supposed to work is by proving it's existence and necessity and most important of all to improve on what the original source achieved and did. Bringing in something new and making major changes to a series does not always lead to something good. A lot, if not most, of the times it hurts the series even more. It's not about bringing in something new. It's about quality. I will always very much favor and value quality over new and that is something that will always be the objective case for a series. Quality will always be much more valued and favored than bring in something new.
Are these voices for the aliens new to the reboot? Yes. Are these new voices for the aliens good, suitable, and fitting for said aliens? Hell no. These new voices are crap. I don't care if their new voices, they still sound like crap for the aliens and I would much rather prefer bringing back the original voice cast because they do a much better job of voicing these characters and aliens because, well, the aliens in Ben 10 are supposed to sound intimidating and ALIEN; not like little bratty teenagers, which is what they sound like to me.
Let me say this again, QUALITY OVER NEW. Let me also add this as well, IMPROVEMENT OVER CHANGE.
-
Well somebody else did come back besides Tara Strong, I mean John DiMaggio came back to play Four Arms, and he's been voice acting since OS, but didn't play FA til Omniverse but still.
Also we don't know who else is voicing who, but Greg Cipes also did sort of came back, I mean he's playing an alien for the first time instead of Kevin, so he still counts as somebody coming back. So that's a good 3 people. -
Well we are less then a month till the first episode of the reboot premieres in every country except for the Us. Hopefully someone here will record the episode.
-
@Ebomnitrix Yes John DiMaggio was among the cast in the OS but he didn't voice Four Arms. He voiced Vulkanus. Richard McGonagle was the original voice actor for Four Arms. DiMaggio did good as Four Arms but I prefer McGonagle over him. McGonagle had the more intimidating and alien voice for Four Arms than DiMaggio.
Greg Cipes might be coming back. Like I said, it's a maybe and in order to be sure of this, more info on the voice cast will have to be released. Honestly though, the more I listen to the reboot Stinkfly's voice, the less it sounds like Cipes but again, as I previously explained, voice actors are voice actors and they can change their voices to sound very much different from their usual and natural voices. Even then, Cipes was not among the original voice cast. He was not the original voice actor for Kevin. Michael Reisz and Charlie Schlatter were the original Kevin voice actors and I prefer them more over Greg Cipes' portrayal of Kevin. Regardless of whoever is voicing Stinkfly in the reboot, I still prefer Dee Bradley Baker's portrayal and voice for Stinkfly because it sounds intimidating, very much insect-like, and most importantly alien.
As far as we can tell, the only original voice actor that's voicing their respected character is Tara Strong as Ben Tennyson and that's it at the moment. I still find the new voices for the aliens in the reboot to be crap and pathetic. It almost feels like that there was little to no care put into the voice department, much like how I feel that there was little to no care put into the reboot itself.
-
I'm still wondering who the heck is voicing gwen. Also can anyone make out who is voicing heatblast?
Also the voices not sounding alien kinda keeps up with the people behind the show wanting the aliens to be more human like which is really weird.Also if you freeze the video you can see 2 new villians and i took a screenshot.
-
I can't wait to watch the episodes! And Gwen's voice still sounds pretty familiar to me.
