@Rexfan1333 with me I did not really like the 2012 TMNT I like the 2003 TMNT because of how they had the shredder because to me he looked like he was sick because of the purple spots on his skin
-
@KorseBLI-ND at least you have a reason for not liking it I hate tmnt 2012 for no reason whatsoever the show itself is good but to me it just doesn't feel like how a tmnt show should be
-
@JrPhilgene Then you do have a reason for hating the TMNT 2012 show. You provided that very reason at the end of your comment. Just saying.
-
also I really did not like a underage april oneil
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Ohhhhhh yeah it just didn't seem like a valid reason at the time so I didn't consider it to be one
-
@KorseBLI-ND I could handle the way April looked I could also handle her being a teenager but Casey nope I hated his voice his design his overall character in general Casey Jones used to be my favourite character but then they made him an unhygenic slob who dresses like he's poor and he's scared of rats (tbh I can't remember if he was originally scared of them or not)
-
@JrPhilgene that is the other problem I had with the show what is your favorite version of the TMNT cartoon show
-
@KorseBLI-ND I can't exactly remember the name I think it was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to the sewer I also liked the one when they entered the future but I can't remember it's name
-
@JrPhilgene that was called TMNT fast forward
-
@KorseBLI-ND yeh that one and tmnt back to the sewer
-
good ones plus I like the turtles forever movie
-
Ok i think thats enough talk about TMNT. Lets get back on topic here.
-
sorry just with the reboot I hope it does not have gwevin in it
-
I just hope the reboot feels like a ben10 show
-
We are now less than 4-5 days away til the world premiere of the Ben 10 Reboot.
I'm hoping the episode gets posted online somewhere so we can see it. -
@Ebomnitrix And I'm hoping that the Ben 10 reboot turns out to be good or at the very least there's a proper back up plan to bringing the series back onto its feet if the Ben 10 reboot doesn't deliver and succeed.
-
I rewatched the clips today and some of OS's episodes @Tactical-Ochoa
Here's a bit of relief actually, Ben and Max's characters are very on point with the show, even with Max's new voice actor, Max's voice actually somehow manages to fit the original show's tone, even the dialogue is on point. Only thing that's different is Gwen.
I mean this show has more jokes, but its gonna be kinda obvious how this show is gonna go, it's basically like OS only with more attempted humor. I think the only thing I'm worried about is some of the situations they're going to be facing, especially since Ready to Rumble and The Eggmans Cometh are being reused plots. -
@Ebomnitrix In regards to characters, that's very much expected of Ben and Max because that is how Ben and Max are supposed to be. Some of the clips from the reboot does have a some feel and resemblance of the OS but, at least to me, it feels like there's less than what the OS offered. Yes, less can be more but that's not always the case; especially when there's less off the good aspects and elements in the reboot when compared to the OS. For example, yes Max is still Max but, at least to me, it feels as if there's less to him as a character in the reboot than in the OS based on these clips. Yeah we got most of the same original aliens but look at their designs and listen to their voices compared to the aliens in the OS. They suck. Even if the action scenes are pretty good, the OS still has much better action than this. Even if the comedy is pretty good, the OS once again gains an upper hand with comedy. The OS does comedy in a much more subtle and clever way. The reboot however has overly exaggerated, energetic, and generic slapstick and other less subtle comedy. I find comedy to be at it's best when it's clever and subtle. There's more that I can point out but either way, the reboot does have some feel of the OS but it feels like there's less and not in a good way.
There's also all these changes that I know are just really going to hurt the reboot as well; big and small. The redesigns of some of the aliens such as Upgrade, Wildvine, and especially Stinkfly are already causing some damage to the reboot. There's more people that are against these redesigns than are in favor of them. Overflow isn't even something new to the series. He's just a redesigned and renamed Water Hazard and most, if not everyone, very much sees through that. I wouldn't even say that the newly designed Rustbucket is a good change either. It just looks more like a flashy RV than, well, the Rustbucket. The new design doesn't even fit into the name. The Rustbucket in the OS was a character itself in the show and its unique design and elements further backs that up. Yeah it looked like an old and ordinary RV but it makes sense for the Rustbucket to look like that so that it could more easily blend in and not stick out. The Rustbucket was also a great example of "looks can be deceiving" and how it was more about what's on the outside than what was on the inside due to what it was truly capable of as a result of all the gadgets and modifications that it had. The Rustbucket was something that people very much underestimated and that's what made it great and even a character in the series itself. In the reboot, it stands out too much and, again, the design doesn't even match the name. It doesn't make sense for Ben, Gwen, and Max to have an RV like that when they're going around and stopping the bad guys. The Rustbucket's new reboot design is a really good way of painting a really big target onto the main characters. To me, it feels like the reboot Rustbucket was designed more on the aspect of being about what's on the outside than what's on the inside, which is the complete opposite of what the Rustbucket is really supposed to be.
Gwen in the reboot is certainly one of the most major changes that is most likely going to hurt this reboot. I don't care if this is a reboot. That is not how Gwen is supposed to be. She is not supposed to act more reckless and careless and further reinforce Ben's behavior. That is a really good way of making her and Ben even more unlikable. I mentioned on the Bwen page that the way that Ben and Gwen were structured and designed in the OS helped to balance them both out. Gwen is supposed to keep Ben in line; not further push him out of line. Also, considering that the bio for the reboot Gwen states that she's already supposed to be the wise one and the voice of reason, we already see her acting out of character because she's already supposed to know better than to do stuff such as that "Take 10" clip. Even if this was done to have Gwen also learn lessons much like Ben, this was still not a good change made to the series at all here.
If the reboot is just going to be like the OS and reuse plots from the OS, then what is even the point of this reboot? Like I said, this reboot somewhat feels like the OS but less. Why watch the reboot when the OS is obviously a much better version of the reboot? Why watch an episode that debuts Zombozo, Hex, Dr. Animo, etc when the OS does this same thing but much better? Why appreciate the designs of the aliens, characters, and overall the art style of the reboot when the OS has much better designs and an art style? Why follow the story of the reboot when the OS does a much better story? Etc etc etc. I argued a while back on how it would be expected for the reboot to reuse a lot, if not most, of the elements, stories, etc of the OS and, as you stated, we're already seeing this with the reboot. We're already seeing some of the same or similar elements that the OS has done already being done again in the reboot. We're even seeing elements from the Ben 10 sequel shows that are being reused for the reboot. I'll even say that there are elements from Cartoon Network's other recent shows that are being used again for the reboot as well. As far as I can tell, there's nothing new, creative, and unique that the reboot is offering here. What is the point of watching the Ben 10 reboot when the Ben 10 OS does pretty much everything that the reboot is doing but much better? What is the point of this reboot when it doesn't improve on what the OS did and really just does everything that the OS already did but worse?
Like I said plenty of times before, it's very much expected that viewers of any and all ages are going to make comparisons of the Ben 10 OS and the reboot because this next Ben 10 show is a reboot, and even feels like just a remake, of the OS. Like I said plenty of times before, making those very comparisons is going to most likely end up making the reboot look even worse in quality. Like I said plenty of times before, I don't think it's even going to matter that much if the Ben 10 reboot does turn out to be good because if it's not better than the OS, that's going to hurt the reboot's quality and ratings. There's little to no purpose and necessity for having this reboot when the OS does pretty much everything that the reboot is doing but better.
