Ben 10 vs Ben 10 Reboot: Out With The Old and In With The Meh... by The Navoid

Okay this is where I'm irritated, this is the third episode of the Reboot, the first one is Waterfilter, because of websites and the US screwing over the airing order as usual.... yeah... they really screwed over....
-
@ebomnitrix The Filth was the very first episode of the Ben 10 reboot that ever aired, regardless of where it aired at, and is listed and considered as the first episode of the first season. It's not incorrect to consider The Filth as the first episode of the Ben 10 reboot. Hell, I would rather consider The Filth to be the first episode of the first season.

I wish that this Alien Worlds thing was apart of the original canon.

I don't its cool to see these worlds in the reboot universe and see how different they are from their mainline counterparts. Plus its cool to see how diverse the reboot artstyle can be. These are by far the best we have gotten of the reboot style.

Here's my take on this universe building that they're doing with the Ben 10 reboot such as with the videos linked onto here that cover the backgrounds of some of Ben's aliens. Why? Why are they doing this? Why do they continue to do this? The Ben 10 universe has already had enough of a focus on expanding and building up as it is. Too much of a focus, in fact. I also don't care if this new show is a reboot. Expanding the in-show universe and going into the background of Ben's aliens should not be the focus in the Ben 10 franchise anymore because like I said, that already had too much of a focus on. This is a problem that plagued the Ben 10 franchise since the original show ended. Cartoon Network and their production studio focused too much on Ben's roster of aliens and expanding the Ben 10 universe and didn't focus enough on providing strong and proper writing, storytelling, and characters with the sequel shows and now they're doing it again with the Ben 10 reboot. No more lore. No more on establishing more and more aliens in Ben's roster. The Ben 10 franchise, and the reboot, needs to focus more on the writing, the storytelling, and the characters and very much less on the aliens and the lore. Ok, here are the backgrounds of some of Ben's aliens in the reboot continuity. How does that help a show that's suffering from mediocre and bland writing and storytelling and a lack of proper character development? Why should fans and viewers care about this lore building if it's for a show that has these very issues that I listed here?
-
@tactical-ochoa Agreed.
-
On the contrary i feel that expanding the lore a bit is exactly what the reboot needs. Theres a bigger universe out there and i feel that we need to see it.
-
@omni-triforcer Except, we've already explored enough of the Ben 10 lore in the other shows. More than enough, in fact; especially when Omniverse took it too far and started exploring other alternate universes. And no, expanding on the lore in the Ben 10 reboot is not what the show exactly needs because, as I stated before, the Ben 10 reboot is suffering from mediocre and bland writing and storytelling as well as a lack of proper character development. Like I said, why should fans and viewers care about the reboot's lore if the reboot show has these very issues? What the Ben 10 reboot, and the franchise overall, exactly needs is to have a better direction and focus, provide proper character development, and vastly improved writing and storytelling. Not an expansion of the lore. There is a bigger universe out there and you can go ahead and see and explore it by watching the previous shows.

@tactical-ochoa You have your opinions and i have mine. Me and alot of other people love seeing all the alien lore. You don't like it you don't have to watch it.
-
@omni-triforcer Doesn't mean that I can't express my disagreements of your opinions and vice versa.
-
@tactical-ochoa Never said u couldn't disagree.
-
@omni-triforcer No but you do throw that stupid "don't like, don't watch" excuse, which does give the implication of it.
-
@tactical-ochoa How is saying dont like it dont watch it an excuse? Its totally true. If you dont like something you dont have to watch it. I love teen titans but i hate ttg so i dont watch it. Liked PPG but dont like the reboot so i dont watch it. You obviously dont like the reboot so you dont have to watch it but u seem to be forcing urself to for some reason.
-
@omni-triforcer No, I'm not forcing myself to watch the Ben 10 reboot. I saw each episode once and that's it. I haven't even watched any episodes of the Ben 10 reboot since Omni-Tricked premiered.
Also, here's that video by PIEGUYRULZ that covers the "don't like, don't watch" excuse.

@tactical-ochoa Forget it im not gonna argue with you anymore and im done responding to your negativity. I'm done with this site.

I'm agreeing with Omni Triforcer when I say, the Reboot needs lore and an expanded universe so people who are coming into the series can learn about it, however showing us planets we know already prior is dull and boring, so if next week, we don't get Upgrade and Grey Matter than we're going to get something completely new which excites me.
Look we all have our opinions, some of us don't like this Alien Worlds idea, some of us do. And I like it because it helps the Reboot a lot make it more interesting. And look we have to explore alternate universes and alternate worlds, that's the point of Ben 10, to discover what's out there in the universe and what's inside the Omnitrix, that's all.
And Tactical Ochoa, I don't mean to be that guy, but you say that about every Ben 10 series aside the original, you quote that you prefer the original show over any series which is fine, but you make it sound like you completely diss on any show that's after that, and that's not fair to the other Ben 10 shows. The original wasn't even that great imo. But you shouldn't diss UAF, OV and the Reboot just because its not the "original show." You may not like it but its not fair.
Also Ben 10 shows need to explore lores and other stuff that's in space, otherwise that just makes it boring about a kid who transforms, and solves his daily problems while fighting bad guy of the day. We need a big direction so that this series can take off, be its own thing, and lead to success. The more you put down on it, the more you're ruining hopes and dreams for any potential futures for Ben 10. We all may want a serious show, but right now we're having a series that's rebooted, more light hearted, and needs a territory for us to explore so when we get there and the big bomb happens, that's when it all starts to become worth wild.
Look my point is, the Ben 10 Reboot needs this, you may not like the writing and story telling but Man of Action went into this direction because they felt like a shorter episode timespan was the right move. And I've seen the Reboot, I've enjoyed it, especially its later episodes, and when we got Omni-Tricked we now know that they can do a whole big and new different direction. It makes the Ben 10 Reboot better than other CN Reboots imo. Other than We Bare Bears, Gumball, OK KO, and Steven Universe, this show is just as good as them, and its because we're going somewhere with that.
-
@ebomnitrix I don't diss on UAF, OV, and the reboot because they're not the original show. Of course they're not. UAF and OV are sequel shows and the reboot show is, of course, a reboot. I criticize these shows for the very issues that they have while also providing suggestions on how to improve the Ben 10 franchise in the future. How is doing that ruining the hopes and dreams for any potential futures for Ben 10? How is that not fair to do? Yes, I do compare these shows to the original but that doesn't mean I don't like these shows because they're not the original show. Hell, how can I not compare the reboot to the original show if the reboot is copying so much from the original show, thus constantly reminding me and other fans and viewers of the original show as well as the sequel shows (more so of the original, though). If UAF, OV, and the reboot didn't have the very issues that I criticize them for, then I would definitely have a more positive outlook on them.
It's also completely fine to explore the lore of Ben 10. My problem is that CN and CN Studios is focusing too much on that and not enough on providing strong writing, storytelling, and characters. A big direction to allow the series to take off, be its own thing, and lead to success? You're saying that to a show that, again, is copying so much from the previous shows and was made just to sell more merchandise. Ben 10 doesn't have much of a future left, if not none at all, if Cartoon Network continues to mistreat it. The Ben 10 reboot isn't going to have a future pass the second season if the second season doesn't improve upon the first season, remedying the many issues that the first season has, doesn't deliver on its overall quality, and if Cartoon Network keeps pushing to sell more merchandise over focusing on the show's quality. For the many times that I've said this before (yet it keeps going in one ear and out the other for you guys), I'm constructively criticizing the Ben 10 sequel shows and the Ben 10 reboot because I care about the Ben 10 franchise and I want for it to have a great future. I want to see the Ben 10 franchise succeed and fulfill the many great opportunities and the great potential that it has. For christ sake, I have the design of my Ben 10 game on Deviant-art with the intention of wanting to turn that design into a full-fledged and fully developed video game once I find employment in a video game company (most preferably PlatinumGames). Does any of this resemble someone that's trying to constantly put down the Ben 10 franchise and constantly being unfair with it? Get this stuck in your heads because I'm freaking tired of constantly repeating it.
I'M DOING WHAT I'M DOING HERE BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT THE BEN 10 FRANCHISE AND ITS FUTURE.
