My Ben 10 Theme Song Idea

  • This has been in my mind for a while now. There's a band called Rise Against and one of the songs that I like from them is called Satellite. To me, this song feels like it would be a good fit for Ben 10. There are other songs by the same band that I get that same feeling for as well. Prayer of the Refugee, Savior, The Good Left Undone, etc with Satellite standing out the most out of these songs; especially since that it focuses on a young generation or something of the likes, which could be fitting for a Ben 10 show about Ben and Gwen forming the next generation of heroes (the Ben 10: Hero Generation show that Man of Action didn't get a chance to make).

Here is the link to Satellite by Rise Against if anyone is interested in listening to it.

I'd say that having a song like this, maybe even performed by Rise Against themselves, could be really neat to have as a theme song for a Ben 10 show. What do you guys think? Anyone else have any suggestions for a Ben 10 theme song? Feel free to share and comment on here.

  • Not a bad choice of band, it would be awesome to have a Japanese band to do the Ben 10 theme song, suggestions would be Man with a Mission would be awesome to hear.

@Rexfan1333 That was another thing that came to mind as well. Rock/J-Pop.

@Tactical-Ochoa Don't hear much J rock with American animation these days, the song Survivor by Man with a Mission would be a epic opening theme.

  • There is another idea of a theme song and soundtrack for a Ben 10 series that I have. It could be like the soundtrack for the video game Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. If anyone hasn't heard the soundtrack for that game, I'd highly recommend looking it up and listening to it. It's freakin awesome and is one of my most favorite video game soundtracks.

  • Band: Starset
    Album: Vessels
Could work well as a soundtrack for a Ben 10 show.
Main Intro Theme Song: The Order followed by Satellite

If anyone has ever played Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, having a soundtrack and main intro theme in the very style of that game would also be really neat to have for a Ben 10 show. Jamie Christopherson composed the music for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

So yeah, I'd recommend checking out the album, Vessels, by Starset and the soundtrack for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

@Tactical-Ochoa I can see this band work well with a mature and darker Ben 10 series.

@Rexfan1333 To me, it's more fitting for an action-oriented, character and story driven approach. Fantasy-like as well.

  • Well, I don't know about the series, but when I was reading Little Moments and Breaking Point, there was this one song that was going on in my mind and that I thought fit the situation in the story too perfectly!
"They don't know about us" by 1D.
I mean, I can almost hear Ben singing the song when their parents discover about them!

@coreofthesun Venom is a better comparison to Kevin. I wouldn't be surprised either if the creation of Ben was inspired by Peter. Makes sense to me since that Man of Action were former Marvel writers before they formed Man of Action. That's one of the things that made Ben at his best. When he's being cocky and fun-loving yet also mature and serious. This is something that I think the Original Series did well with and the sequel shows and the reboot show often fell short on. Ben was either too serious and therefore boring and uninteresting to watch or too much of a goofball and therefore became annoying and unlikable. I felt that the Original Series had a good balance between the two sides of Ben. In fact, I say that the Original Series had a good balance of a lot of things. The characters, the tone, etc. I think it also helps that Ben had Gwen by his side. I think one of Omniverse's biggest mistakes was separating Ben and Gwen. Those two just work so well together. They balance each other out. They keep each other in check. They're like Batman and Robin, or on the topic of Spider Man, like Peter Parker and Mary Jane. I think Ben doesn't work well as a character without Gwen and vice versa. It's why I don't think Ben worked well as a character in Omniverse and it's why I don't think a Gwen spin-off show would work either.

Thinking more about AmpFibian, there is a big issue with this alien that I recently realized. As I stated before, I am going to start implementing the realism factor to my list and my reason as to why. Therefore, I'm thinking of making a new page where I revise my list to factor in the realistic and believable aspect of Ben's aliens. In regards to AmpFibian, this alien has the ability to fly and float. The issue is that he looks like a jellyfish. There's no wings that he uses. There's no gliders. There's nothing that explains in a reasonable and sensible way what allows AmpFibian to fly and float in air as if he's in water. Therefore, it doesn't make AmpFibian a realistic and believable alien due to this ludicrous characteristic. If AmpFibian is fully aquatic and therefore ONLY has mobility in big enough bodies of water, then the problem is pretty much solved...except I already have Ripjaws in this list and even if Ripjaws needs water to breathe, he's still able to go out onto land while this fix for AmpFibian would greatly limit his mobility on land. I believe I stated this before as well, AmpFibian's electrical abilities would also likely cause some significant collateral damage if used in water. Hell, AmpFibian can even shock himself if he comes into contact with water. Therefore, AmpFibian is out and I'd rather keep Buzzshock in my list.

@Rexfan1333 Although granted, if I do end up working with PlatinumGames (or whatever other game company) in the future and if they do decide to make this game, I think you would have to get in contact with them if you want to work on the game. I could maybe try and put in a recommendation but it might still end up being up to them to decide on. We'll see what happens when I eventually do work with them.

@chronosapien234 Maybe then. Honestly, I'm getting tired of Cartoon Network releasing toy lines for Ben 10. It's not a bad thing to do but Cartoon Network just does it in a way that it just shows that they're just further exploiting the Ben 10 brand just to get cash in on the series further. The amiibo idea you mentioned does sound good but has a strong likelihood of being badly executed by Cartoon Network but lego Ben 10 in a way that you discuss? To me, I just don't know about that one and I wouldn't recommend it knowing Cartoon Network. It can be a good idea as long as it's done the right way though.
