Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot Part 3: Show/Episode Discussions

@Tactical-Ochoa pretty interesting concept.
-
First look of new toys and new Omnitrix.
-
By the way when they gonna release new Ben 10 Reboot actions figures of Gwen and Grandpa Max?

New clip

I actually kinda enjoyed that clip.
But who were they trying to base that hero off of, I'm getting an Indiana Jones kinda vibe? -
At first i was gonna say they were doing a rehash of super hero buddy adventures but thinking about it more it is definitely more like the ultimate alien episode "Hero Time"
-
I checked out new Ben 10 Reboot clips on YouTube.com. Can't wait to see the new episodes of Ben 10 Reboot all this week begining Monday on Cartoon Network. And I love to see a new Bentuition clips featuring Stinkfly and Grandpa Max too.
-
@jondennison72 я согласен с тобой, жду понедельника чтобы увидеть эпизоды, а что вышли новые клипы на ютубе к эпизоду злодея время ?

@james Finally. Ben is acting heroic.
-
@james That was a little better. More of that please CN Studios and Man of Action. Granted, why does Ben need that idiot to use that tar? Just use Diamondhead's crystal to repair the dam. He doesn't need that tar to help.
@Mortie-10 Ben has been acting heroic throughout this reboot.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Yeah but he have kinda acted stupid too. Like in Take 10 with Heatblast.
-
The reboot seems to gradually be improving

Maybe. These next 2 episodes do seem pretty good.
-
@Mortie-10 And by the looks of that other clip that's related to this very episode, Ben is going to act stupid as well since that he's trying to one-up the villain of this episode. This is something that happens in every episode of this reboot. Ben acts stupid.
Most of the episodes in the reboot pretty much play off with shenanigans happen, Ben goes hero, the characters "learn" some moral lesson, rinse and repeat. The rest of the episodes are just shenanigans. There is very little to no character development and no sense of progress considering that so far there's no story arc. Ben acts stupid, then acts heroic, and that's the extent of his character development.
I don't see this show improving at the moment because these episodes that we're seeing clips of really just show more of what we've already been seeing with this show. That by the looks of it, these episodes are just more of the same as the previous episodes with little to no character development and sense of progress. This is one of the major reasons as to why so many fans and viewers don't like the reboot. IF they manage to get a second season, they need to get out of this very direction and approach to the episodes immediately and focus on a proper story arc and proper character development.

@Tactical-Ochoa Ben has always been a idiot so he won't be over powered that people will get bored of him, it also gives him a personality, like the unlikely hero side to his character, but I understand your point.
-
@Rexfan1333 You don't remember me pointing out Ben as a character, do you? In the Original Series, Ben might not be the brightest character in the series but he's very much a competent character. He's impulsive, egocentric, fun-loving, and cocky. Not an idiot. Ben did lack focus, which is one major reason why Gwen was there. To keep Ben focused on the task at hand and to keep him from stepping out of line. He's not an idiot for the sake of not being overpowered. He was given limitations with the use of the Omnitrix. Each alien also had their own sets of strengths and weaknesses. Ben was also an inexperienced fighter and had to rely a lot on improvising. The villains in the series were also designed to be a challenging force for Ben to face and overcome. Ben is also not an idiot for the sake of giving him a personality; especially since that it would make him look incompetent (which was far from the case in the Original Series) and he would also be very much unlikable to viewers. Again, Ben is impulsive, egocentric, fun-loving, and cocky yet he is also serious, mature, and competent. These characteristics are what gives Ben a personality that viewers like. Not Ben being an idiot. Ben also went through proper character development throughout the Original Series. He improved by the time the Original Series ended unlike the reboot where he hasn't made any improvements to himself as a character at all. So no, Ben wasn't an idiot in the Original Series. He may do stupid stuff and make stupid decisions because of his impulsive, egocentric, fun-loving, and cocky behavior but Ben was a very competent and surprisingly smart character that improved as the series progressed onward.

The "You Just Don't Like Change" Argument is Lame by PIEGUYRULZ

@Tactical-Ochoa you got a point, but I still think reboot Ben isn't that bad, but Gwen and Max are just horrible, why did they take away what defined them? CN are not helping Ben 10, they are killing it. Someone needs to save this series because it has too much potential to be something greater and it is killing me. Wish Genndy talked to MOA about not working with CN again and go to Netflix and Adult Swim
-
This is legit the Ben 10 fanbase right now. @Tactical-Ochoa
But even then, change isn't always good either, because the Reboot is meant to be different for a different argument, a lot of people don't like it cause its different, but another thing to point out is, this isn't also the right change for Ben 10, not yet anyway. And the fact since CN's been nostalgia-hungry for the original Ben 10, just to go back to how it first started, before there was any story can really hurt the franchise. Also for what South Park Season 20 did, that was the whole (25% really) point of that season, to make fun of everyone's over obsessing with nostalgia, which is why we keep getting shows more and more like OS.In fact another thing I'd like to point out that's both unrelated and kind of... related to this is, not every sequel, spinoff or anything like that, was meant to be made around this time for 2015-2017 so far. Because some properties go way back like Fuller House and Samurai Jack into making sequels for their shows. Samurai Jack mainly because since years after it ended they've been trying to do this for almost 11 years. Fuller House has been doing it since before this trend became a thing. But now everything is getting a spinoff or a reboot and it isn't a healthy thing for Hollywood, that's something they need to get into their heads, over-obsession with nostalgia isn't the best approach to go in, especially since now we barely see anything new. In fact that's why Gumball, We Bare Bears and Steven Universe are the only good things CN has to offer right now, because its not trying to be modern, well while WBB is trying to be simple, its also trying to get us to relate to them, and SU and GB are done in totally different ways that make those shows considered good. If Cartoon Network can realize what they're doing is wrong, then hopefully we'll get better shows and a better Ben 10 series around 2020, all I can say for now is we have to wait and see.
