Should Teen Ben make a return in the rebooted series
-
@Omni-Triforcer It was originally supposed to happen when Ben would be at the age of 15. However, Derrick J. Wyatt stupidly decided to use that stupid excuse of "time always constantly" shifting in the Ben 10 universe as if that's his way of making every plot hole in the Ben 10 series irrelevant. Go onto the Ben 10 Planet Wiki and look up Ben 10,000. It says so in the Trivia section. In fact, here's the link to that.

As well as the links to Derrick J. Wyatt using the "time constantly shifting" excuse to retcon it.

@Tactical-Ochoa I respect Derrick Wyatt as an artist, but his has made some questionable decisions while working on Omniveres, so I understand how you feel, but it was mostly CN's fault in my opinion.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Would love to have seen it, maybe Kai got seriously hurt, it is just an idea I came up with.
-
@Rexfan1333 Or may the reason for Ben's transition into Ben 10,000 be because something terrible happened to Gwen and not Kai considering that Ben has the most and greatest connection to Gwen more so than anyone else in the series.
Also, yeah I blame Cartoon Network for what happened with Omniverse but part of the blame goes to Wyatt as well.
-
I think that both teen Ben and adult Ben should return in the reboot, but it probably wont happen. One thing I wonder about is that in that interview about the fifth series right after Omniverse ended, Man of Action said they wanted to go to Ben 10,000. Maybe, but just maybe, the reboot WILL after all evolve the characters and turn Ben into Ben 10,000. If not, then they where lying to us. What do you guys think?
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I think the thing about Ben becoming serious was because Kevin hurted Gwen or something. Maybe he left her a scar or something on the back. Just my thoughts.
-
It would be interesting if the upcoming movie is based on Ben 10,000. That would explain why MOA said that.
-
@admin Maybe.
@Mortie-10 I wouldn't say that they were lying about that. After all, this was back in 2014 before Omniverse even ended. Not only that but Joe Kelly did state that Cartoon Network made the decision instead to go for this very reboot so this reboot wasn't Man of Action's decision and I'd say it's very likely that if it really was Man of Action's decision, if they really and actually had full creative control over the Ben 10 series, they would've gone for a different route with Ben 10. Most likely a sequel. To which show in the series, I don't know but Man of Action still has Ben 10 Hero Generation, MOA's sequel to the Original Series, apparently sitting around in their office. If they intended to make one show only to end up making another different show instead, MOA isn't to blame for that because again, as stated by Joe Kelly, it was Cartoon Network's decision to make this current reboot. Not only that but I don't think Cartoon Network is going to allow the characters to grow up this time around. Like Steven T. Seagle said, Ben, Gwen, and Max are on an eternal summer vacation so it's going to be like this where the characters pretty much remain in one spot until the reboot ends. Although, my prediction is that this reboot would most likely last one to two seasons because I don't think it's going to be good and there's so little support and interest from fans and viewers for the reboot alongside the terrible marketing that Cartoon Network has been doing with it.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I wouldn't go saying the reboot will be bad just yet, all we saw was a clip and that's not enough to go on just yet, believe me that this reboot might surprise us even though it is not getting much love right now, It will get better. I really think MOA have more control than ever because they weren't fully controlling the original series so I'm interested what they might have for this reboot.
-
@Mortie-10 Teen Ben and Ben 10,000 have to appear again, because without them it will have no character growth without these two, they are important because they show how Ben has transition from ordinary and immature kid to a true hero.
-
@Rexfan1333 It MIGHT get better. Not will, might and no I'm not going to believe you because you haven't proved to me as to why I should believe you and no, what you just stated isn't enough. My prediction is that the Ben 10 reboot is not going to be good.
Also, you can't really have Ben have some actual character growth and have that transition into a true hero if he's going to be stuck on an eternal summer vacation.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Seriously, will you stop predicting it will be bad because it's not gonna be good if you have such high standards and want things to be better, also how do you know they will stay kids forever it hasn't appeared yet and eternal might mean something else.
-
@Rexfan1333 No. Also, what else could eternal mean other than "permanent," "lasting forever," and "without end or beginning"?
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Maybe it was just bad choice of word.
-
@admin Would have been wicked cool with a Ben 10,000 live-action movie. Wonder if it will based on the Reboot or as a continuation of Omniverse. I almost hope for the latter
-
@Tactical-Ochoa They might have meant it in a child like manner like Ben having the best summer vacation ever that he doesn't want it to end. Seriously try not to make it a big deal and go saying the reboot will suck, at least have some faith in it because it's Ben 10.
-
@Mortie-10 I hope it's bad word choice.
@Rexfan1333 I hope that's what it means. And again, no, my opinions and my choice and I won't give it some faith just because it's Ben 10 and if I want to make it a big deal, I will. Like I've said many times before, I'm looking at every side, corner, and angle there currently is at the moment to set up my opinions and predictions. Like with Omni-Triforcer, you can either make an argument and debate with me on this or don't even bother with arguing with me. Anyone telling me to stop saying that the "reboot will suck," to "stop being negative," to "stop judging and wait till the reboot premieres" will have no effect on how I do and view things.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa Yeah, but a fan of the series would at least give it a chance, even if it's bad or good, I'm going to stay with this series as long as it takes. This series is precious to me and even with Omniverse (Which I love dearly as much as the other), unlike most people, I'm sticking with Ben 10 no matter how good of bad because I will enjoy them all.
-
@Rexfan1333 Im totally agree with you
-
@Rexfan1333 A fan of ANY series would also notice the problems that the series has and voice their concerns, criticisms, opinions, judgements, etc as well. I'd rather take notice of the flaws that the Ben 10 series has over ignoring then in favor of just loving the series no matter how good or bad it is. The Ben 10 series is precious to me as well. That's why I'm criticizing and pointing out the problems of the reboot.
