They'd harvest energy to make weapons, then to decorate their bases with energy items. They'd use resources to feed and aliment their vehicles, using all of their resources raw like gems in SU, leading them to their current state due to greed and reckless use of their resources

@car54 In Goodbye and Good Riddance, after the intro segment when the intro theme is finished, you're treated to a comic book with the narrator basically giving the message that the episode is a what-if scenario.
@omni-triforcer In regards to it being biologically bad for kids, that's not what this article states. Your point would have validity if this was an ongoing thing throughout one's family tree.
Also, there's this to think about as well. We're all technically cousins to each other.
@omni-triforcer i can think of several reasons.
#1: The show is now for a younger generation. Considering how terrifying villains like Zombozo are now a joke, I don't think we'll be seeing an alien as horror oriented as ghostfreak.
#2: The show seems to be building towards vilgax, and it would be very hard to get ghostfreak in the omnitrix in a manner that makes sense.
#3: Z'scayre is a pretty dark villain for a show like this. He could truly give the younger audience nightmares. An less terrifying alien will probably be the invisibility alien.
Dude a lot of people shitted on Omniverse and the Reboot, just don't listen to them, we can like what we like, we don't have to follow the exact same trend as everyone.
Just because people gave up with Ben 10 after Ultimate Alien because of changes they couldn't stand, doesn't mean we have to.
But good for you, with the Reboot!
