Am I the only one that wants to see Ben 10 get better?
-
@Omni-Triforcer I want that to, I want people to love Ben 10 again and not see it as a cash grab, I understand money is important to give employees who work on this, but this reboot is more of a TTG spin off than a reboot for Ben 10, I can't stand CN anymore and rarely watch that shitty channel anymore, I don't give a crap about Steven Universe, I want Ben 10 to be epic and surprise people, I can't even read Ben 10 fan fiction anymore because it will never be canon. I want to do whatever I can to get Ben 10 back to its former glory, I just hope CN kills it self and Ben 10 can finally be great again.
-
Your stupid if you think YOU are the only one who want Ben 10 to be better. Just read my thoughts about Ben 10 being moved to Netflix/Adultswim and you know your not alone. EVERYONE here want Ben 10 to be better. But having hope in the reboot is not right way to do it. I know that we fans can't do mutch, but if its one thing we can do, its to stop watch the show and stop buying the toys. That way CN know we dont like it and will stop airing the reboot sooner or later, and if Samurai Jack is succesfull enough (whitch it probably will be anyway), CN will probably understand what we fans want and maybe let Adultswim or Netflix take over Ben 10.
-
@Mortie-10 I'm glad I'm not alone, it just feel I see more hate than love for Ben 10 any more, I'm proud to be a Ben 10 fan and don't care if people make fun of me for it. I honestly don't know if not watching the reboot will help, they want to target kids because they are the ones that buy the toys, of all things we should stop watching TTG because it caused the downfall of CN because it airs 24/7 and they seem to like the cheapness of it, but I understand where you are coming from. I have so many ideas for a better Ben 10 reboot, I wish I could get in contact with MOA and see if they like it or not.
-
I also don't hate the reboot.
Of course, I wanted it to be more serious and in a different company, but honestly, there are a few good things about the reboot:
- For the first time ever since the Original Series, we have Ben and Gwen interacting with each other properly again (In Alien Force Ben just played third wheel to Kevin and Gwen, and in Omniverse Gwen was put on a bus)
- Future episodes show that they will adapt plots from the sequel shows. "Villain Time" is "Hero Time", and "Bright Lights, Black Hearts" is All That Glitters. So I think the show might be tapping into some potential.
- I like the alien roster overall (Yeah, they messed up real bad with their version of Stinkfly and I didn't like changing Wildvines to be more human-like, but the others are cool)
There are a lot of bad things too, but I don't hate it.
-
@csgt I agree that the reboot has some good things, but it has a lot of bad that could possibly kill Ben 10 ( which I don't want to happen), I fear this will be another show thrown away to Boomerang sadly, but I hope Ben 10 will get through this horrible era of crappy reboots by CN and finally unleash its potential.

I don't think that rehashing old episodes is potential i think it shows that they don't have enough ideas for the reboot which really sucks. They should be coming up with new original ideas instead of looking into the past.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Seriously, what's wrong with Teen Ben? He should of been rebooted, I've honestly had enough of Kid Ben and want a new take on a teenage Ben instead of a rehash of the original series.

Well Kid ben had always been the most popular so it made sense to reboot him.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Yeah, but Teen Ben is a logical choice, they could have done a reboot of the sequel shows and fixed all the retcons, it just shows CN only care about money than quality.
-
I like teen Ben better. I honestly thought that Cartoon Network's best option after Omniverse was to make a Ben 10,000 show.
-
@cooljay7 Have nothing against Kid Ben, but he's already been done to death, a Teen Ben or Ben 10,000 series just makes more sense to me, but CN wants to target toward kids. Reason why Ben 10 needs to leave CN for good. (or possibly MOA if they are the reason for the reboots meh writing)

Wait wait wait hold on a minute. How has 10 year old ben been done to death but teen ben hasnt? Teen ben has had 3 shows young ben has only had 2 shows counting the reboot so if anything its teen ben that has been done to death and thats not the case.
-
@Omni-Triforcer You are very much right. Teen Ben has indeed made more of an appearance in the franchise than the 10-year-old Ben.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa You guys do know kid Ben has appeared in all the incarnation of the series right? We all saw him in the franchise and it kinda got tiring seeing him in flash backs and AUs to be honest, I want a series that focues more on Teen Ben instead of young Ben because we all know how he became what he is.
-
@Omni-Triforcer I honestly like Kid Ben, but he always made a cameo in the sequel shows some how in flash backs, AUs, and such, we even saw how he got the watch in Omniverse and the fact that Paradox and Ben were the reason Ben got the Omnitrix (I kinda hated it because it felt like he wasn't meant to be a hero at all, same goes with George Washington being a Plumber which was kinda dumb)
-
To be honest we need a reimagining of Ben 10 with new spin on the characters and lore instead of rehashing everything.
-
@Rexfan1333 He appeared for only a few seconds in Alien Force and the latter half of one episode in Ultimate Alien. Yes, kid Ben was in Omniverse in the flashback segments but those were in few numbers compared to the rest of Omniverse. Regardless, teen Ben has made more of an appearance in the Ben 10 franchise than kid Ben. Even then, why make such a big deal about it? He's the same exact character. You want a show that focuses more on teen Ben than kid Ben, go watch Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and Omniverse. I don't care if Ben is a kid or a teenager or whatever. I just want a good portrayal of Ben as a character regardless of his age. Oh wow, cameos and a few flashback scenes. That really shows that kid Ben has been done to death despite Ben making more of an appearance in the franchise as a teenager than as a kid. Again, I care more about Ben as a character being portrayed in a well implemented way, regardless of his age.
On another note, yeah, I would like to see a Ben 10,000/Ken 10 show but not because I want to see a portrayal of Ben as an adult. It's because I want to see Ken as a character portrayed in the franchise and the father-son relationship between Ben and Ken. I want to see how Ken finds his place and purpose in the Ben 10 universe.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa I still feel Kid Ben is overrated and I still want a better Ben 10 show done by Studio Trigger with a bad ass Ben and a cuter and awesome Gwen. I'm tired of MOA and CN not seeing the potential epic series they have in their hands and just giving us dumb down versions of what I loved as a kid and want to be epic as an adult, yeah, maybe Teen Ben gotten more attention, but they completely ruined what could have been amazing. They sadly turned Ben into a immature self absorbed idiot in UA and OV (even though those shows where still enjoyable), I rather they reboot the sequels or completely create a new universe that will blow the original series out of the water.
-
I like having Ben be a kid because in the comics there arent that many kid superheroes so its cool to have one especially with a cool a power as his. I also like seeing Ben grow up that was one of my favorite things about the franchise as a whole, It didnt feel like a normal cartoon where he would stay the same age he grew up became a teenager and learned how to be serious. While Teen Ben is awesome it has to start out with kid Ben.
-
@Omni-Triforcer Maybe, but I want a different take on him, be voiced by someone different (nothing against Tara, but I want a new take on the character) and actually be more likeable. (I like Ben, but his arrogance can get annoying at times)
I actually want him to learn how to fight without the watch as well.
