The Reboot taking place AFTER the original series?
-
Thats something that come to my mind while I watched Waterfilter. Ben saying that Overflow is a new guy, which means he have an another alien in his original 10 playlist, or it could mean that Ben has the same aliens he had at the end of the original series, but wont be using them in the series. Also Ben mentioning destroying some statues: Maybe he meant when he as Upchuck destroyed Mount Rushmore in "Ben 10 vs the Negative 10 Part 2"? Who knows. What do you guys think?

@Mortie-10 They went to Niagara Falls in Waterfilter as if it was the first time they've ever been there. Plus, we already have confirmation that this is a retelling of the OS. A remake that starts the entire story all over. Plus, if this really did took place after the OS, then why did Gwen have trouble using Ben's Omnitrix in Freaky Gwen Ben when Gwen had used Ben's Omnitrix in A Change of Face? The OS ended with the end of summer vacation as well, which means that they shouldn't be on their road trip anymore. If this took place after the OS, then why are Ben and Gwen acting so reckless, careless, irresponsible, and immature when they should already know better? If the reboot is a sequel to the OS, then Ben and Gwen as characters should be reflected in a way that shows that they still retain all that character development that they gained in the OS. Oh yeah, if this really is a sequel, then why does Gwen not have the spell book? Why is she already not using magic as if she's never used it before?
I can go on and on and on but overall, the Ben 10 reboot does not take place after the OS. As confirmed and stated before, it's a retelling of the OS. A remake that starts the story all over from scratch.

@Tactical-Ochoa Good points.

Nah i just think he has never used this alien. remember in alien force ben didnt use alien x until 13 episodes in. I don't think this takes place after the original series i just think he never had a reason to use this alien till now.

I think the first half of the summer was quite similar to the original series while what we see takes part in the second half. The reboot has some characteristics of a sequel, but also has things that don't match what we saw in the original franchise.

I don't think that at all.

@GoodVibes1999 @Omni-Triforcer The Ben 10 reboot is really just making the same mistake that the PPG reboot made where it relies on past knowledge with the other shows to understand a lot of what's going on. If you're going to make a reboot designed to introduce a new audience to the series, make sure that you reintroduce everything to said new audience instead of making a reboot that requires the new audience to have to go watch the previous shows just so they know know what's going on in the reboot.
