Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot Part 2

@Omni-Triforcer The whole "ruining my childhood" argument is just stupid. They already had their childhood. Simple as that. Argument debunked.

@Tactical-Ochoa said in Addressing the Ben 10 Reboot Part 2:
@Omni-Triforcer The whole "ruining my childhood" argument is just stupid. They already had their childhood. Simple as that. Argument debunked.
What argument? i said basically the exact same thing you did so how can you debunk my argument if we are arguing on the same side.
-
@Omni-Triforcer No I'm not referring to your argument. I'm referring to people using that as their argument. I just got out of watching a movie at the theater so that post was a little rushed. My bad.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa and what pisses me off most about the ruining my childhood argument is that the people who post it are the people who have had their childhood already and in the end they are still going to watch the reboot just to insult it
-
@VJ-Philogene And there are some people that are just going to be like that unfortunately. That we'll just have to deal with because it just happens so commonly. I still don't like it but there's always going to be those outliers. There's a lot of hate towards Star Wars The Force Awakens and that's a great movie. Yes it was very similar to the first Star Wars film but it was still great to watch. What can be good though is that if those outliers are spotted out, they can be separated from the main group so there is a way for them to not win here. I pay more attention to those that have more legitimate arguments, criticisms, and opinions. As for the outliers, screw them.
For those that use the "ruin my childhood" argument, it's a stupid argument but I'm not that concerned about it. Again, it's just a stupid argument. It's the outliers and extremes that I don't bother with. TTG! is a terrible show but sometimes the hate that it gets from some people is out of control so yeah, I don't bother with that crowd.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa yeah i understand that i its just that it seems that most people who hate the reboot doesn't really have a good reason to hate the reboot they just hate it because of either the artstyle or the 11 minute episodes.I just can't understand why there is so much hate going towards a show that could be one of the most decent shows on CartoonNetwork. Some people hype up the wrong shows and don't try to give decent shows a chance like with the PowerPuff girls reboot it had the same character design but different main character voices and people hyped it up and in the end it was a failure but with the ben10 reboot it has a different character design but the main character voice is the same and they don't even give it a chance. i get why you're not super excited for the reboot and you have given some good reasons why but the other people don't even have a reason to hate it
-
@VJ-Philogene That is something that I do want for more people to do. To provide the why of their views, opinions, and arguments because I want to be able to understand them. There is some understandable aspects as to why a lot of people don't do that though. At least some don't want to put in so much effort into making a more in-depth explanation behind their views. To them, they don't want to put in so much work, which I find to be a little lazy. Long comments can also mean that some people won't bother to even read them and thus give the whole TL;DR excuse (for those who don't know, it means too long; didn't read). There are also some cases where people could want to give the "why" of their arguments but there are limitations that they had to deal with. For example, Twitter has a character limit of like 140 characters. I hate that limit. That sucks. I guess there's a good reason behind that but still, that sucks because it limits so much of what people want to say. Either you have to make multiple tweets or try to sum everything up in one tweet. I'd say that there are at least a lot of people that do have legitimate and valid reasons for disliking and criticizing the Ben 10 reboot, and other stuff, but there are factors that prevent them from providing those reasons for others to read and understand. So even though it looks like that they don't have any reason for being so against the Ben 10 reboot, there's a lot of people out there that do have their reasons. They just don't state what those reasons are. After all, there has to be a reason for one to have the very views and opinions that they have, no matter what that reason is.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa i get that there are other people with good reasons on why they don't like the reboot but i'm talking about the people who don't the ones that just have no reason or a stupid reason for hating the reboot. Most times when i ask someone why they hate the reboot they usually say something like they don't like how the background characters look or they don't like the character voices or something along that line instead of waiting for the show to come out and then give a good reason like the pacing was too fast or too slow or something along that line.I watched a video on youtube about a guy expressing his views on the reboot without even knowing much about it
-
@VJ-Philogene Back then, yeah there really wasn't much reason to be against the reboot other than to point out Cartoon Network's recent history, which is enough of a reason alone to not like and be forward to the Ben 10 reboot. As more about the reboot is coming out though, there are more legitimate reasons that people are pulling out because, of course, we're learning more about the reboot. Like I said, I don't bother with the outliers and, again, there are a lot of people that do have their reasons no matter what their reason is. They're just not giving those reasons and explanations out.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa well yeh i guess so
-
@VJ-Philogene There is another thing that needs to be understood as well and that is that anyone doesn't always need to watch a show or a movie or play a video game or whatsoever in order to determine whether something is going to be good or bad. Why do I say that Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is going to be another bad COD game and another scam from Activision when I never even played it? Oh because that was how the previous COD games were in recent years and Activision is Activision. Why do I say that the upcoming Metal Gear Survive game is going to flop and suck? Oh because the Konami of today is working on it and Konami doesn't have all their talent such as Hideo Kojima working on it because they chased their talent away. Why do I think the Ben 10 reboot isn't going to be good and successful even though MOA is working on it and I've never seen the show yet? Because the Cartoon Network and Cartoon Network Studios of today is working on and making this reboot. There's the saying that I've mentioned over and over before: "If you don't learn from your past, you are doomed to repeat it." It's about following a consistent pattern. Is this 100% guaranteed to work every single time? No. Some stuff that looks as if they're going to be bad do end up turning out to be good and vice versa. That's why I said that looking back at Cartoon Network's recent history is a good enough reason for being against the Ben 10 reboot. Again, it's not guaranteed to work every single time but, at least in my opinion, it is the best method of making a prediction and determining whether something will be good or bad. That's why I said that there is too much that's working against the favor of the Ben 10 reboot. Because I look to the past and present to predict the future. Just something additional that I wanted to point out.
-
ah yeah that is true tactical just if the ben 10 reboot turns out sucky i am just going to watch the original series and try to find the figures on ebay and also the bootleg ben 10 stickers and coloring book and make a shrine to show the end of a good show
-
@KorseBLI-ND I wouldn't give up on Ben 10 if this turns out bad or good, they can always redeem themselves and make a better reboot in the future (Voltron did it, why not Ben 10), let's hope MOA leaves CN and makes the right choices.
-
@Tactical-Ochoa i get where your coming from. When i heard there was going to be a BEN10 series after omniverse i was super excited then i found out that it was going to be a reboot of the original series and i got super mad and the promo picture they released for it at the time really didn't help and i thought with cartoon network working on it would turn it into another TTG but then i heard MOA were going to be executive producers and then i decided to give it a chance.Im still made that they didnt make a BEN 10000 series after omniverse but ill watch the reboot just cuz its Ben10
-
ah yeah but ben 10 could end up like the pokemon anime to me where i just love the pervious series but get so frustrated with it that i want to get the asses of the people working on because with pokemon i am tired of ash always losing when he gets to the league just if i was ash i would of either killed myself by now or taken the entire world with me as many times he lost in the series
-
i never really enjoyed any pokemon series after the original
-
i enjoy up to the third series than i had it just i wish they would just let ash win for once plus he is ruining the name of ash always losing just the other character that i like that has the name of ash would be ticked at the Pokémon for ruining his name by losing so much and if you are wondering who this other ash is he is ash Williams from evil dead
-
For some reason pokemon just never really stuck with me it was one of the few anime i watched but didn't really enjoy that and yugiyoh i never really liked the fact of having monsters fight your battle for you. btw i heard from someone that the 1st season of the ben10 reboot would have 40 episodes is that true
-
i really don't know also with yugioh there is one item from the original series i would love to have a real version of it and that is the millennium eye
-
@VJ-Philogene Yes, the first season of the Ben 10 reboot will have 40 episodes. Just like the PPG reboot. Speaking of the PPG reboot, what's strange was that the PPG reboot aired its 22nd episode of the first season recently (September 1, 2016). The PPG reboot's been on hiatus apparently since late June.
