Ben 10,000's daughter seems like a case of the Mandela Effect

  • For those who don't know, the Mandela Effect is a phenomenon where people recall an event/memory that never actually occurred or turned out to be false. An example of this is the children book series, The Berenstein Bears…except it's not Berenstein with an "e" near the end, as many had believed. It's actually Berenstain with an "a" near the end.

In regards to the Ben 10 series, at least from what I've heard, many Ben 10 fans (and sure, even I) believed that Ben 10,000 had two kids, Ken Tennyson and Gwendolyn Tennyson, as confirmed through a Pop-Up Trivia from the Ken 10 episode. However, if these images from the Ben 10 Planet Wiki are accurate and cover all the pop-ups from that very episode, there is no pop-up that confirms that Ben has a daughter.

To further add to this, Thomas Perkins tweeted back in January 2021 that as far as he knew, Ben didn't have a daughter and that Ken was an only child.

There does seem to be one "official" source that does state that Ben has a daughter, as shown below. Granted, I say "official" with quotation marks because one, this isn't ever established in any of the shows and two, I have a feeling that this was made under the very Mandela Effect that I'm explaining here as well. Although, this does also refer to the Ultimate Alien version of Ben 10,000 and not the Original Series version.

Due to this, I don't think that Ben 10,000 really does have a daughter and that the pop-up trivia that states this actually exists. However, if anyone does have an actual image of the Ben 10,000's daughter pop-up trivia, feel free to share it here. Granted, I would likely not buy into this anyways because I usually prefer for things to get established in-universe and not through an outside statement. In the case with the Pop-Up Trivia episodes in the Original Series, I did not like how some of the pop-ups tried to create and establish lore within the Ben 10 universe that wasn't proven in-show. Either way, feel free to provide an image that does prove that the Ben 10,000's daughter pop-up does indeed exist if anyone is able to find it.

Note: The sources linked here and the Ben 10,000 info image can be found on the link embedded in "Gwendolyn Tennyson" and the link to the images of the Ken 10 pop-ups can be found here.

Something recently came to mind and that is who I find to be a suitable choice to provide the voice of Ben 10,000/adult Ben Tennyson; especially for the direction for the redesign that I discussed here. That choice is Reuben Langdon, the voice of Dante from Devil May Cry 3 to the recently released Devil May Cry 5. Thinking back to Dante as a character and Langdon's performance of him (most notably his DMC5 performance), I find that Langdon would be a suitable choice to provide the voice of an adult Ben Tennyson. Dante is an incredibly cocky and fun-loving individual and the same can pretty much be said for Ben as well. Cocky and fun-loving while still treating more serious situations with, well, seriousness and focus. Plus, I also find Langdon's DMC5 Dante performance to also sound like a proper match for an adult Ben. If I were to imagine how Ben would sound like as an adult based on the voice that Tara Strong is well known for displaying, I say that Langdon's voice would be a very close match. Feel free to check out Dante in DMC5 and see for yourself if that sort of voice and this very voice actor would indeed be a good choice to voice an adult Ben or not.

@car54 I recently had a conversation with shadows59 about Julie and it did make me think of another direction that I want to address about her that could work well too. If I'm able to, I plan to cover and address that tomorrow.

@car54 Nice little nods to fan writers could work. And no, which is why I still prefer to make a new reboot that acts as a new sequel to the Original Series, ignoring Alien Force onwards and focusing on a different direction. I don't mind reusing certain elements of the sequel shows for a sequel reboot just as long as they're the good elements and they work well for it. After all, that's what shadows59 did with Little Moments and Breaking Point. Still, it really would be better to ignore Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, Omniverse, and the current 2016 CN reboot and make a new sequel that fulfills the very potential that the franchise still has. Disney ignored the Star Wars Expanded Universe and despite the backlash they got, their Star Wars films are still doing really well. Granted though, Disney and Star Wars is in quite a snag considering The Last Jedi and EA's Star Wars Battlefront 2. James Cameron and Deadpool director, Tim Miller, are currently making a new Terminator film that ignores Terminator 3, Salvation, and Genysis and is acting as a new sequel to Terminator 2 with Arnold Schwarzenegger coming back (of course) and the original Sarah Connor actress, Linda Hamilton, coming back to reprise her iconic and famous role. Making a sequel reboot can be an ideal direction to go and I say that it's the best direction that can be taken for the Ben 10 franchise.
