Kai Green could've been done better

Unlike many other Ben 10 fans, I don't hate Kai Green. I just don't like how she was portrayed in Omniverse. I thought the way that Kai was handled in the Original Series was fine as it opens up an opportunity for Kai to develop as a character and be a better person. However, this did not happen with Omniverse. Instead, the team behind Omniverse thought it was a good idea for Kai to act like a jerk to Ben while also having this weird attraction towards Ben's alien forms, which makes her look even worse since that it showed that Kai doesn't value Ben for who he is. Eventually, Ben and Kai do end up on better terms, but given how Kai treated him in the show, it makes Ben and Kai's relationship feel unfitting and unrewarding. I assume it's an attempt to give her a personality or quirk or something, but it didn't work for Kai and her attraction towards Ben's alien forms didn't suit her. They took this one thing about Kai from the Original Series and flanderized that into her to the detriment of Kai as a character.

What could've been done with Kai is to simply have her be mature and reasonable and just have Kai apologize to Ben for how she viewed him in the Original Series. My assumption about her in the Benwolf episode was that she thought it would be really cool to have a pet werewolf and not this weird attraction thing that Omniverse did with her. Chalk it up as Kai being a kid and not knowing better and have her be aware that what she did in the Original Series was really dumb of her to do. Take away her being a jerk to Ben (it's fine if Kai at least gets annoyed with Ben's antics), take away her strange attraction towards Ben's aliens forms, have Kai apologize to Ben and admit that what she did was dumb, and I think everything else about her can stay.
